Highly Recommended: One of the best interviews!

I would say that one of the easiest ways to understand our current Pope, Benedict XVI, is to read the interviews he’s granted throughout the years. Along with “Salt of the Earth: Christianity and the Catholic Church at the End of the Millennium,” this stands as one of the best interviews ever given by one of the Catholic Church’s leading figures. In this interview you get Pope Benedict XVI, then Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, up front and personal. His views and opinions are presented with clarity and give the reader a profound insight into not only Catholic Church but into the whole of Christianity and society in the present age. I’ve read a great number of the Holy Father’s books and when people ask what of his I would recommend, I always recommend one of his interviews and this one would be at the top of the list right there with Salt of the Earth. The topic of the Liturgy was very insightful. “Spirit of the Liturgy” and “Introduction to Christianity” are also a must read. Enjoy!

    God Bless
