    Great...In the beginning

    This was such a great book in the beginning, but left me enraged and sickened towards the end when she gets raped not once, but many times by her own uncle. The second marriage was also uncalled for. I wish the ending would've been far sweeter for what happened. It just felt very rushed.

    Not that great

    The book was good up until the last, where it floundered, alot. The rape scenes came out of no where, and then the second marriage just left a bad taste. The latter part of the book ruined the entire thing for me. Up until that point it was dead on Henley and as such, good.

    awesome book

    Out of all the romance novels that I have read, I'd have to say that this one is my favorite. The Raven and the Rose, being the first book I have read by Virginia Henley, I was caught by her unique way of writing and catching the reader in the story. She kept me in suspense all the way till the end of the book. I highly recommend this book.

    WOW

    This is the first book I read by MS Henley and I was shocked at how great it was. I bought it because of the artistic design of the raven on the cover but i've read it many times since.

    THE RAVEN ROCKS

    MS. Henly's story leaves the reader enthralled. She decribes historical settings in marvelous detail. She will lead her readers to believe that they have been carried off into history feeling what her characters feel.

    PERFECT!!!!!!

    I have been reading Virgina Henley books for a while and I must say this is my favorite out of all her books. I didn't care a lick for Roseanna's mother though. It was a fairytale ending and a great book. my favorite character was Roger. You have to warm up to the Baron of Ravenspur but in the end he is a big giant teddy bear to me and i would love for a man to be as real as him.

    It is just okay.

    This is not one of the best books by Virginia Henley. No one in the review has given me a warning about certain disturbing scenes in this book: rape scenes. Overall, I enjoy the scenes where Roseanna tried to avoid being intimated with Roger.

    I Love This Book!!!!

    This was the 3rd Virgina Henley book that I read and from the instant that I started it I couldn't put it down. They way they first meet and speak is so captivating. If you are looking for a good read then you are in the right place because this is by far one of the best books that I have ever read. If you decide to read it too I can pretty much promise that you won't want to put this book down, and even when you are done like me you will want to instantly reread the book.

    My all time favorite

    This is such an enjoyable book! I loved reading it. Of all the romance novels I've read so far this is my all time favorite. the characters were so beliveable and the story was so detailed. I recommend it to any one who is intrested in any kind of romance novels. I may only be 15, but i know a great book when i read it. Ever since reading the bok I've been hooked on the entire genre of histrically romances.
