An unspeakable childhood horror places the multifaceted Raven April – best-selling author, millionaire, and serial killer –on the pathway to madness. In his twisted pre-adolescent mind, Raven determines that the only way to end his tortured existence is to eradicate the source.
Four decades later, in a bone chilling, creative manner, he does. You can become privy to the inner workings of a serial killer’s mind, and dual personality, by joining Raven and the lovely Lydia on their incredible, globe-crossing journey that finally sets him free.
His freedom is short-lived as Raven discovers he has been cursed with yet an even greater challenge. Love him; cheer him on in this last epic battle between good and evil.
Nelson Trout’s portrayal of the mind of a sensitive lad reacting to a gross injustice and turning him into a serial killer is chilling; yet the man-child retains a part of his lovable and sensitive nature. Could it happen? Is it Karma? I wonder! Taylor Shaye; author of Beyond Forever: Experiences From Past Lives.

“If you like Dexter, on Showtime, Raven April is right up your alley. Raven is a best-selling author (with the nom de plume of “B.V. West”) who also happens to be a serial killer with a rather unusual calling card: he has a taste for his victims’ left eyeballs. Gritty, riveting, and awash in thrills, Raven will take you on a journey from South Florida to L.A., ending with an epic battle between good and evil, deep in the jungles in Kenya. “Trout is a master at weaving fiction into believability. Riveting at every turn. Raven April is a smart and cunning thriller with energy and realism, but with heart, soul and humor.” “Dark, twisted, and brilliant.”

“I was very pleased and honored to voice ‘Blood on the Ceiling.’ I cried, laughed and paused for thought at the incredible insight of author Nelson Trout. The insight became incredible imagination in ‘Raven April,’ also taking me deeply into the soul of the character. Well written, story well told. May be a masterpiece in hiding.”
