This is probably one of the strangest books I have ever read. We do not know who Ryan is or why whatever is happening is so important that he keeps a journal, but he is in a lot of trouble. Apparently he has found some long-lost documents by Edgar Allan Poe; he has only told one person—his best friend Sarah Fincher—about them, but now someone or something seems to be following him. Is it a ghost? Is it the strange figure in a black cape who shows up everywhere Ryan goes? And what on earth are the "clues" he keeps finding, the numbers and sketches that have no meaning to him? Sarah cannot help him because she is at camp in California, learning to make documentary videos. They communicate by e-mail and the occasional phone call. As Ryan begins to decipher the clues, the reader begins to get caught up in the story. This is where I began to have trouble; I realized that I may not be the right person to review this book. We are expected not only to be computer-savvy, but to have a laptop, and a smart phone, and know how to use them, and to be on line constantly, ready at a moment's notice to type SARAH FINCHER into our browser, use the password indicated, see the video, and somehow relate it to the book. The videos are very dark—literally, hard to see as well as difficult to interpret. A lot of action has occurred before this book begins, unfortunately, because we have no idea what has happened. Recommended, but to fans of the genre. Number 4 of the "Skeleton Creek" series. Reviewer: Judy Silverman

    I find the "professional" review that B & N has posted for this book to be irresponsible and misleading. If you haven't read this series, from book 1, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK YET! As a teacher, I can say that this series has sparked an incredible interest in reading from my students. I read the first one aloud, and showed the movies. It was the highlight of each day for the kids, and always left them wanting more. When I finished the first book, they were horrified that it just left the reading hanging there, and most have proceeded to the rest of the series individually. Great book for our tech savvy children, who enjoy a bit of suspense, and being a little spooked. Highly recommend, but again, start from the beginning.

    Stunning

    I was able to get a copy early, and I must say, it was stunning like the rest. Fast-paced, and suspenseful, it keeps you thinking.
    Kids of all ages will enjoy it.

    Skeleton creek is amazing!!!!

    I recently just finish this book and it was AMAZING! This book has alot of mysteries evolved and hidden clues. Warning: watch the videos with the lights on unless you can handle it

    The raven skeleton creek

    Mrs.keach is finishing the crossbones probably by monday and will be starting on the raven .someone in mr.pompas class told a kid in my class who the raven was

    Really good!!!!!

    The skeleton creek series is really good! It is suspensful and spine tingling! The way the short films on the sarah fincher website lead you along in the book is quite creative, it is a good way to get people interactive. But it is not a book to read before you go to bed! (You might have to sleep with the lights on!)

    I really really enjoyed to read all Skeleton Creek series. It's spooky
    and creepy and mysterious. I found this series on the section of
    Grade3 ~ Grade6 in the B&N store. I don't think third graders can
    understand this books. These are for older than teenage.

    BeAsTlY book !!!!!!

    I actually really loved tis book my teacher read it to me and it was great i loved it but to know more about this book read the very first book then read the other books and then read this book i reccomend this book to all the suspense readers
