This novel was an exceptional read, definitely one of the best Ravenlofts. The antagonists, the wererats, were clever villains that never failed to entertain and terrify. The main character, Aurek Nuiken, had a lot of pathos and was very interesting, however, his massive overconfidence caused me to feel less compassion for him and his predicament. The setting for most of the book was so well crafted that I felt I could see the hundreds of years old town and its decaying buildings and mist filled streets. The plot was intriguing and flowed well from one chapter to another I was unable to put the book down. The ending was powerful and one that will stay with the reader forever. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys stories that grab hold of you and won¿t let go until the very last sentence. A thrilling story of horror, drama, and pathos. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
