This is a Great second half of Seraph’s story. I always love Patricia Briggs’ characters. They seem real to me with all of the emotions and interactions in a positive rather than negative feeling. I love the way each family member has something to contribute, that they specialize in. All are needed in the end in order to take down the bad guy. I love the relationship between Seraph and her husband Tier. They stay true to each other in every way and would do anything for each other, even though they do not always agree. It feels real and is a good example of what a good relationship should be.
There is a wonderful combination of clean romance, wit and action. Even though it did have a good ending, I felt that there could have been more to wrap it up a bit more. There is still left to build other stories from. I would like to have some side stories with some of the children, see what happens down the road.

Warrior Cats: A New Beginning- The Prolauge

A gray-blue she cat walked through a starry forest and appered in a clearing. "There you are Bluestar we were getting worried." A small black tom meowed. "Ravenpaw it's fine." Bluestar told the small tom. "Why are we here?" A grumpy gray she cat with long fur asked "We are here to disscuss Ravenpaws grandkits." Bluestar meowed. "Firestar have you told Bramblestar the prophecy?" Bluestar asked the orange tome. He nodded as he stepped forward "The kin of the raven will come from the sky to the thunder." He meowed then sat back down. The cats in the clearing started muttering to themselves and the meeting was dissmissed. "They will arive tomorrow Firestar." Bluestar meowed as the tom sat down by her. "I know." He meowed then dipped his head to Bluestar and left his former mentor alone with her thoughts.

Still not my most favorite series by Briggs. It was highly entertaining and I enjoyed the history and adventure the characters went on. The ending was extremely predictable which was kind of annoying. I was hoping the nemesis would've been someone not so obvious. Oh well. On the whole, this is a nice ending to Briggs' two book fantasy series. It was a good series to read if you're looking to kill time in between other book releases.

    The Raven Series

I read the first book and was unsure if I would like the second book in the series. The first book Raven Strike was a little hard to follow in places. But I am a fan of the Mercy Thompson Series that Patricia Briggs writes. The Raven series is not as good as those books, but it is worth reading. Raven's Shadow is a far better read than Raven Strike. The story line does not cover nearly as much time so it is easy to follow and you have some twists and turns that make the story an interesting read. You grow attached to the characters and really start to wish for a happy ending for them.

    Raven's Strike - Patricia Briggs

Again, I tried to enjoy this book but the characters seemed dull. If this had been a movie, it would have seemed that the characters were just going through the motions without any real emotion or sense of urgency that the plotline is supposed to convey. I'm not sure what the difference is from Ms. Briggs' other story lines, but this one just left me wishing there was more to the story.

    I Also Recommend:

    A good read

I am a huge Patricia Briggs fan, and while I liked the Raven series a lot, it was not her best. Personally, I am a bigger fan of her Mercy Thompson and Wolf books. But if you are looking for a good book with a strong family, an older heroine, and strong female characters then this is for you!

    Wonderful Sequel

This is a terrific sequel to 'Raven's Shadow', answering questions left from the first book and giving further life and depth to the characters. As all Briggs' books, it is well and tightly written. A real page turner with no lags and (for me) no disappointments! There are many layers to this story and it pulls the reader right into Tier and Seraph's world.

    A reviewer

This book is a great continuation of the first book Ravens Shadow it is really well written,I love the charaters and I do hope the series continues. I am not sure why Patricia Briggs books arent more successful. She is a much better writer than many others out there that I read. I keep looking for more of her work but Ive already read through everything. Too bad... I just hope she continues to write great books.
