Lots of Gaelic references, romance and adventure. Characters were easy to get drawn into, and the story, with all of the vast description, was captivating.

Even at 280 pgs this was quite a ride. Lots of excitement and adventure. Well worth it.

10 STARS if I could give that. This was an exceptional book, not only are the main character's so richly written, but I loved the secondary character's as well. I can't believe this book was only $.99, well worth so much more, so I thank the author and B & N for this fantastic offer. There are so many twists and behind stories in this book, that I truly didn't want it to end. I like that the author did an Epilogue and wrapped things up nicely. Do yourself a huge favor and get this book. I loved all the Gaelic references, and the love that the Highlander's have for their clan. ljb

Enjoyed this book. Author gave a true sense of how things were in the 1500's. At first it was a bit hard to follow with the Scottish brogue but you quickly take root and delve into the story.

This book was boring. It was slow and kept going. The main characters lacked passion and life. It was just hard to connect with the main characters.
