    The Raw Food Cookbook makes it easy to transition to a raw food diet! The book clearly lays out what food will provide what nutrients so you do not have to worry about a lack of calcium, vitamin A or protein. What can and cannot be eaten raw is also identified to avoid any confusion. The recipes are super easy to understand and there are even kid-friendly ones included so the whole family can make the lifestyle change together.

     he various “styles” of raw foodism are given, the benefits and pitfalls of the diet,
    a glossary and useful nutrient requirement charts help the reader choose appropriate foods.  
    The benefits of consuming a lot of phytonutrients are explained, as are the ill-effects of
    processing in canning, freezing, milling, Pasteurization.  Transitioning to an all raw-food
    diet is described in detail. For anyone considering this type of meal regimen, this book
    is required reading if only for the recipes: carrot ginger soup, avocado and beet greens salad,
    chocolate brownies

    A fantastic read on the raw food diet --- one that informs, but doesn’t overly preach, with its background and benefits of the diet. There were so many good recipes, even for someone who isn’t a fully-fledged raw foodie (such as myself - I just try to be healthy, with some sweets), plus recipes for kids, if you’re interested in that.

     The best thing this book has to offer other than the intriguing recipes it includes is a nutrition chart and a list of foods categorized by which vitamins and minerals they contain. The focus is kept entirely on remaining healthy when switching to any of today's trendy diets. This easy-to-read guide makes a transition to a raw diet seem stress-free and reminds us that it should be gradual.

    I was quite intimidated by the idea of a raw food diet at first, but this book put my mind totally at ease. There is a ton of information, great recipes, and even advice on how to make the transition gradually based on your current diet. I feel healthier already!

    The results of this diet are very encouraging: increased energy levels, better physical appearance, a good chance of weight loss, and better health. It talks about the vegan diet and provides a short history that includes diseases caused by eating cooked food. Not all food can be eaten raw. It tells you which and how to handle it. The basic part of that is the recommendation of washing produce throroughly and the temperatures at which to cook foods. I am very glad I read this book.

    Does an apple day keep the doctor away? According to the Raw Foods diet book it can.
     And they give you plenty of ways to enjoy that apple. The book is well worth the time to read.
    You will learn the the ins and outs on what it takes to be a Raw Foodie. The book suggest entering
     this with caution and building up to a complete lifestyle change over time. The book is easy to follow
     and well organized. One of the drawbacks of the diet is the time prepare the foods. The time you save
     in cooking is used in the chopping slicing and dicing of the foods you will eat.
     When in doubt refer to Tip 15 and Cut yourself some slack. The Raw Food diet is a journey, and the
     key in the conversion is to maintain balace in your doet until you are fully converted. Whether you conver
    t to 100% raw or just want to mix in some raw into your currently life the book is for you.

    Great book for introducing the raw food diet and giving already knowledgeable people some refreshing options on what to make. I enjoy the creative dishes this book shows that are possible to make without actually cooking and processing the ingredients. I haven’t made anything yet, but am looking forward to doing so because everything sounds really good. The crepes are first on my list!

The transition to eating raw food for a better, more healthier lifestyle is definitely reassured by this book.     This book is worth buying even just for the recipes.  There are so many creative dishes, from Almond Cranberry Bread to Mushroom Nut Sausage to Orange Chia Pudding…and I can’t wait to try the brownies.  I also learned more about how cooked foods differ from raw and how they affect our bodies.  And the history presented about how foods started to be processed and preserved in the 1800s helps me see how processed foods are quite new and foreign to our bodies, and we will really benefit if we incorporate more raw foods into our diet.

    This is a good guide when beginning a healthier eating plan, as it helps you develop a personal approach to incorporating raw foods in your diet. Before reading this book I thought raw food meant eating salads, but this book showed me that you can eat food that's been cooked under 118 degrees, and the extensive collection of recipes includes a diverse selection of dishes beyond salad, such as Vegetable Sarma, Pasta with Pistachio Pesto and Dark Chocolate Gelato.

    This book is the easiest and most informative guide I’ve ever read for anyone thinking about going raw. The book does a great job of simply stating what the raw diet is, what the health benefits are, and how to easily follow the diet. Each chapter is a quick read but full of all the information you need on every aspect of the raw diet. The book finishes of with 75 raw recipes. I really like how each recipe starts off with little tips on how best to make them. I would recommend it to anyone.

    This is a nifty book to have on your shelf to experiment with the raw food diet, especially if you're new to it! What's cool is that it helps you transition to the raw food diet instead of just starting cold turkey. The writing makes you feel like you're a human being and understands that you may be making a big change in your life. It's worth checking out if you're willing to learn more about what you're eating and how to change it!

    Everyone can benefit from this gem!  It completely describes what a raw diet is, its benefits, how to go about beginning and staying on a raw diet, and what to do if one doesn't want to eat raw exclusively.  Along with diet explanation, this book teaches about nutrients and their functions in maintaining quality health for the body.  It describes phytonutrients and what foods contain these.  It also touches upon organic foods and when it's acceptable to eat non-organic.  It goes into enzymes and their importance.  It's completely comprehensive on eating whole, raw foods.  The section of recipes is quite extensive with a full menu - from appetizers to desserts - and even a section for kids.  This book belongs in any kitchen, particularly those interested in healthy lifestyles, but also for any cook desiring to broaden the spectrum of their culinary skills. Keep this in mind for your holiday gifting!
