I was born with cerebral palsy, which makes walking difficult. Yet I believed I would be judged by my talent, not my disability, so I moved from Texas to Hollywood when I was 23. Here's my story, an odyssey of finding the faith to turn my raw talent into real talent.

Meet the Author

At age five, David helped raise a million dollars to fight cerebral palsy as The Texas Easter Seals Poster Child. Writing by nine, directing movies at seventeen, he won a national film-making award at twenty. David moved to Hollywood in 1988. He's produced more than three-hundred personal movies, and has worked for ABC, CBS and Paramount Studios. He's published nine books, including four novels, a short fiction collection, two memoirs, one anthology and a poetry collection. He lives with his wife Jo Anna in California.
