Overview

Beth Cornett is the town good girl, so staying out of the way of the motorcycle club’s dangerous members was a no brainer. Beth is the stereotypical good girl in a backwater town. Her father was a preacher who preached hell fire and damnation to the town. Growing up in that environment, Beth was sheltered from the harsher aspects of life and frankly had never let her hair loose for a single moment. Protecting her sister comes naturally to her and though conflict and pain were never strangers for Beth, she’s determined to have more to her life. Razer has never claimed to be an angel. Attracted to the good girl next door, it seems as if Razer can’t wait to see how bad she can be. Even when Beth tries to initiate a relationship with the local pastor, she is drawn back in by Razer who she almost becomes addicted to. With her background, her emotionally unstable sister, and a man who can’t commit to only her, Beth has to decide exactly how much she can handle. So a few disclosures before I talk about what I thought - I read this book out of order. I bought the first three but accidentally read Viper’s Run first. With that said, I liked Razer and Beth enough in the second book to come back and read the first book. However, Razer’s Ride is probably my least favorite book of the three. Beth and Razer never seem to go together. Beth is the virginal daughter of a preacher, always taught to be almost exactly the opposite of everything Razer is. Razer is as bad as bad can be, he’s a motorcycle madman. He’s free with his body, with alcohol, and has a fairly laissez-faire attitude. So in all honestly, I found it awfully hard that each character could change as much as they did.  Razer’s Ride is the first book in the Last Riders Series and tells the story of badboy Razer and the sweet preacher’s daughter, Beth. Overall the romance was enjoyable but it had some pretty major problems. Grammar and word usage weren't always correct, which is the fastest way to take me out of the story. The story was a bit far reaching in aspects, but kept me coming back to read the subsequent stories. Fair overall but having finished the rest of the series, it is worth coming back for more.

My first time reading this author. I did enjoy the story line. What I really like is the fact that this is a series, but the books are stand alone. I enjoyed having a quick read that kept me interested.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I can't tell you the last time a book has gutted me the way this one did. Razer is a man-whore, a total jerk throughout this book that is interested only in himself and sex and I can't like him. Beth is weak, too weak for the life that he leads and even in the end (which I will not spoil) I really wanted her to step up to the plate and be stronger and totally cut this man off at the knees. This author failed with these two.

Jamie is a wonderful author. I have enjoyed many of her books. This story is kinda dark but entirely erotic. Razer and the men in his MC are the epitome of the alpha male. Beth is sweet, kind, caring, forgiving, beautiful inside and out and very protective over her sister Lilly. Lilly is sweet, naive, and loves Beth with her whole heart. Razer sees Beth and desides he wants her. He asks her out and she says yes. His lifestyle is unlike anything Beth has ever seen or experienced. But the chemistry between Beth and Razer is smokin hot. At times I cried so hard for Beth that my heart ached. Her life as a child was so heart wrenching I couldn't even begin to imagine what her and Lilly lived through. I highly recommend this book to everyone. And love a HEA .

This is the first book I have read by this author and I can't wait to read more. Her plot kept me guessing and although there was a lot of sex it never seemed gratuitous. I highly recommend this series.

Everything i love in a good biker book was packed into this. Hot guy you think you hate one minute and then he redeems himself protecting the girl he loves, a strong, yet softhearted girl that knows he is bad for her but sometimes she just has to give in and love him, good or bad, action packed with lots of twists and turns that all lead to mysteries unlocked, and my favorite, well-written HOT love scenes. I originally thought it was a bit short for a full length novel but in the end i was left completely satisfied and excited to start the next book in the series.

I can't recommend this book to anyone. It is poorly written - the characters are very one dimensional and I can't understand how it even  got published in the first place. The sex didn't turn me off - the poor writing turned me off.

Don't waste your time. The book started out OK, but got worse and worse. The plot was all over the place and it was hard to connect who was who. There wasn't a reason for writing this story. It seemed to have taken parts from other MC books I've read.

This is not a typical MC book but it's a great book. I love the characters and the story. There's humor, intrigue and most importantly, a happily ever after. The characters pull you in and give the reader a sense of family among the members of the club. A must read.
