All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Bush were criticized from most quarters of the music press for sounding too much like Nirvana on their debut album, Sixteen Stone, so in order to shed all of the comparisons, well, they hired producer Steve Albini Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey and proceeded to record their own version of Nirvana's dark, difficult In Utero. Although lacking in memorable hooks, Razorblade Suitcase is more pleasing and visceral on the surface.

This CD set the guideline for today's &amp quot angsty&amp quot music.

Bush changed their sound from each CD to the next, and with Razorblade Suitcase the sound is like it was given the most liberty for Rossdale's introspection. In today's music there are countless numbers of bands trying to create their own angst ridden music&quot the numerous amalgams of emo music&quot . Bush's razorblade suitacase was ahead of it's time that it set guidelines for todays rock bands and at the same time tops many of them thanks to the gravel in Rossdale's voice. This CD is a must own even if you're not a Bush fan.

    Superb *thumbs up*

I think this CD proves how awesome Bush really is. I recently heard the CD and I had to buy it. The lyrics are so well written and so in-depth It makes every song awesome. The start and stop of some of the songs make the listening more intense and It just tells how great Bush is.

    How Can One Compare?

Bush, Razorblade Suitcase. I received the cd as a discard from my older sister. Heck, free cd, right? Anyway, years passed and I saw it in my cd case. So, I hastily whipped it out, and soon I was jamming to all the songs on the entire cd!!! I couldn't believe it!! I didn't know any of the titles, I just knew the numbers. To this day, about 3 months later, I know all the lyrics, and the cd has never left the cd player of my Chrysler Sebring LXI. I jam to it on the way to school, as well as the way back. Bush ROCKS! Best songs (in order): Distant Voices (you have to appreciate the stop and start of the music), Greedy Fly (almost got me in 3 accidents already from headbanging), Swallowed (simply, a musician's art), and I'm going to have to end the top 5 with Cold Contagious and Insect Kin.

This is not the best album, but it is still from Gavin

This album has a couple of great songs and a few good ones, the rest are acceptable, 6Teen Stone was by far better, but this is still better than most of the other music out there.
