This is a delightful collection of creative play and art-based projects for preschoolers. The supplies are readily available and the instructions are easy to follow and liberally illustrated. As the authors' note, kids are natural artists who love the process, and they're at the magical age when they're seldom disappointed by their results. Art projects build creativity and self-esteem, develop hand-eye coordination, and most of all-they are fun.

Though addressed to adults, this title in the delightfully upbeat "Brown Paper Preschool" series is perfect for young readers as a resource rich in mathematical activities they can share with very young siblings or cross-grade tutees. For equally idea-packed guides to wordplay, math and science, refer kids to Wordsaroni, Eenie Meenie Miney Math! and Pint-Size Science, respectively.
