The recycling aspect of the book will appeal to green-minded readers, but the audience should be much broader than that in this day of wide-spread financial hardship. The price of the book, though steep in my estimation, will be paid off ten-fold in no time as I am able to find inspiration and use the materials I have at home already to create the books I want. This book has found a forever home on my shelves, though it is more often off the shelves! The how-to portions of the book are informative and easy to follow even for a newbie to the art as I am. Besides that, though, the book is quite inspirational and fun. I find that I'm constantly looking back and imagining new projects that expand the bounds of the ones within the covers of this particular book. I am greatly looking forward to binding my son's loose comics together under one cover now that I have a few ideas how it can be done with "stuff" I already have at home.

This book is perfect if you have never created a hand-made book, or even if you have. Wonderful new inspiration, and all about recycling. It is a perfect book, published at the perfect time. Work with what you have. Jeannine gives great instructions, easy to follow and amazingly fun projects. Trust me, you will not regret this purchase!

I've been making mini books for a few years using items I have around the house. I recently purchased this book after browsing through it online. I have learned some new techniques, plus the book gave me some new ideas to try. Instrctions are easy to read and it has great pictures.

This book is beautiful and fun to look at, even if you don't want to create on of the projects -- but even better if you do. The chapters are well thought out, and grouped together in an organized way. The photographs are great, and the illustrations are easy to understand. The materials used to create books range from everyday items, disposable items, recycled, repurposed, and new items. The quality of the paper makes it even more enjoyable, and the book lies open flat when you're following directions.
