Meet the Author

Heather Bertinetti is the talented young pastry chef working her way through some of Manhattan’s most acclaimed restaurants. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America with a degree in baking and pastry arts, Heather joined Gramercy Tavern and, just two years later, Per Se. She then went on to open and receive rave reviews at Alto, Convivio, Marea, and Osteria Morini. Heather has been lauded by The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and was named in Zagat's 2011 "30 under 30: New York's Hottest Up-and-Comers."
Carrie Morey, daughter of Callie White, founded Callie’s Charleston Biscuits in 2005 with the goal of making her mother’s delicious biscuits accessible across the country. Touted by the Today show, Saveur, Food & Wine, Southern Living, The New York Times, and Oprah, her biscuits and pimento cheese collection are sold at high-end retail stores all over the country. Chosen as one of Martha Stewart’s “Dreamers into Doers” in 2008, Carrie has been a guest lecturer on entrepreneurship at the College of Charleston School of Business for more than five years.
Rachael Ray is a New York Times bestselling author of more than twenty cookbooks, including Week in a Day, My Year in Meals, and The Book of Burger. She is the host of the Food Network's 30 Minute Meals and Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, and the Cooking Channel's Week in a Day. She is also the star of the syndicated talk show Rachael Ray; founder and editorial director of her own lifestyle magazine, Every Day with Rachael Ray; and founder of the Yum-o! organization.
Kay Robertson is the revered matriarch of the Robertson family and star of A&E®’s Duck Dynasty®. For almost five decades, she’s been keeping Phil and her boys from spending too much time in the woods by bringing them back to civilization with a home cooked meal. Kay believes her cooking talents are a gift she must share, so she often ends up feeding all of the family and most of the neighborhood.
Jessica Seinfeld is the author of two New York Times bestselling cookbooks and the President and Founder of Baby Buggy, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing clothing and equipment to New York’s families. She lives in New York City with her husband and three children.
Buddy Valastro is the star of the hit TLC series Cake Boss and Next Great Baker and author of the New York Times bestsellers Cake Boss and Baking with the Cake Boss, as well as Cooking Italian with the Cake Boss. He is owner of Carlo's Bake Shop in Hoboken and the Cake Boss factory in Jersey City, which supplies stores around the country. Buddy lives with his wife and four children in New Jersey.
