Overview

Can an object really be cursed to give someone bad luck? There’s only one way to find out…

When a tattered, old tarot card falls out of Charlotte Torres’s library book, she doesn’t think much of it. It doesn’t even bother her that there’s a message written on the back: “Pass this card along or you’ll be sorry!” But when horrible things start happening—things that seem like bad luck, but frighten Charlotte the most—she begins to believe in the power of the card and its message. She wants to get rid of it, but she doesn’t want to pass it along and doom someone else to its curse. Will she be able to figure out a way to destroy the card for good? Or will the card destroy her life first?

This mystical tale of misfortune is rated a Level 4 on the Creep-o-Meter.

Meet the Author

A lifelong night owl, P.J. Night often works furiously into the wee hours of the morning, writing down spooky tales and dreaming up new stories of the supernatural and otherworldly. Although P.J.’s whereabouts are unknown at this time, we suspect the author lives in a drafty, old mansion where the floorboards creak when no one is there and the flickering candlelight creates shadows that creep along the walls. We truly wish we could tell you more, but we’ve been sworn to keep P.J.’s identity a secret...and it’s a secret we will take to our graves!

Don't be swayed by less informed comments. This book was magnificent. If Alfred Hitchcock were alive and writing children's books, "Read it and Weep!" would be one of them. I'm a 35 year old single Dad, and my daughter noticed "Creepover" at the library. Since then, I've purchased 10 books from the series. Each book is good, but some, like this one, are excellent examples of creating suspense and fear in fiction. Highly recommended. --Henderson Roberts
