    Great Teaching Tool

My wife teaches elementary school. Every year about half her class cannot read or write. This is due in part to the public system in place, and the parents unwillingness to participate in their childs education. So, each year we purchase books to help make learning to read more interesting for these 2nd graders. This book does just that! It's an excellent teaching tool, apart for the regular state mandate, which pushes to test, test test.

    Good for homeschooling

My daughter, who is in first grade, just finished the first grade reading skills workbook in this series. It provided good decoding, reading comprehension, and vocabulary practice. She will be starting the second grade book this week.

I homeschool my son and he loves this books as well as I do. They have very interesting stories that makes them want to read more. They also explain directions in a very simple way for kids to work on this books on their own. I also use the writing skills, language arts, spelling and math. Love them all
