Overview

You've expanded (to the point where you've traded high-fashion maternity wear for your husband's XXL T-shirts), answered way too many questions about your babies' conception, and felt your belly bounce like jelly as your dynamic duo engaged in a boxing match. And the adventure has only begun!

In her first humor-packed guide to raising twins, Elizabeth Lyons and her "multiples" sorority offer the wisdom of their combined experience in the form of practical shortcuts, real-world strategies, and sage advice.

Topics include:
- Preparing the Lair: Mandatory Gear for Babies and Mom
- Twinproofing Your Marriage
- Breastfeeding Strategies (and Why It's Okay if You Don't)
- Unsolicited Advice: Stories from the Trenches
- Getting Twins on a Schedule--Preferably the Same One

Lyons balances the day-to-day challenges of raising twins---from double feedings to sleep deprivation to getting out while pretending everything's under control---with a sanity-saving dose of camaraderie. By the end, you'll be smiling and shouting, "Thank heaven, I'm not alone!"

    Great book!

What a refreshing change of the typical baby book. Instead of the week by week, or medical type of book, this book was written by a mom who had a toddler when she gave birth to twins. She wrote about honest feelings that moms have and had great advice/suggestions for dealing with raising a toddler while caring for newborn twins. She also shared stories from others she met while in a multiples club. I read this book 1 week before I gave birth to twins, and it made me feel much more prepared on what to expect once we brought the twins home. I am really looking forward to reading Ready or Not.. There we Go! (a book about raising toddler twins!!)

    more from this reviewer

    Great read

This is a great book. A mother of twin girl and really pretty blunt about my experience, this was a refreshing, funny and informative look at pregnancy and infancy of the world "twins". It gave answers that are not always "perfect" but very realistic and at the very least you know you are not the only one feeling the way you do! I highly recommend this read...
