Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

Its circulation of two million copies attests to the respect that Real Simple Magazine has earned over the past decade with its women's monthly and its top-selling books. This collection of over 250 kitchen-tested, simple recipes spotlight the magazine's "life made easier, every day" theme; in fact, more than half these tasty meals take 30 minutes or less to prepare. In addition to the table-filling variety of recipes, there are trademark Real Simple tips and time-savers. For freshness and convenience, the paperback is organized by seasons. Real simple, really easy to recommend.

I love this book! The recipes are really simple, yet different and tasty. Just the thing when you live alone and hate cooking for one person. I found them really interesting.

Why haven't I written a review sooner? This cookbook has been the best thing to happen to me (as far as cooking is concerned). First of all, there are pictures for EVERY recipe, which is the most essential piece of a good cookbook. Secondly, the recipes are divided up by season than by category (starter, poultry, beef, pork, vegetarian, side dishes, and dessert). All of the recipes are easy and most of them take under a half hour to make. Another bit I like, the recipes include normal ingredients that you can find at the grocery story if you don’t already have them at home, no hunting for an exotic ingredient. Just try the recipe on the cover and you’ll be hooked too!
