    Not so hot

RealSimple generally publishes good/interesting info, however this book left a lot to be desired. I'm glad I borrowed it from my local library first! There are many good PHOTOS included, however much of the information is somewhat elemetary. At the beginning of each chapter there is a "basics" section with gives a brief overview of the things you should have on hand. However, unless you have led a VERY sheltered life, these should be basic knowledge for anyone over age 18. Take paper clips in your home office for example. Get outta here...I would have never thought about THOSE! There's even a little explination of them & what they do. But I digress...overall this book was WAY to simple and not really that informative or helpful. Granted, there are a few helpful tid-bits (such as the "periodic table" in the back), but I would suggest saving your money. Borrow it from you local public library if you can. THEN if you like, go out & buy it. The photos & layout are nice, but I think most of us already know that we need detergent, stain remover, bleach and an ironing board in the laundry room (although most of us do not have laundry rooms as spacious as those shown in the photos!).
