They were complete strangers searching for the same thing — solitude. But thanks to a matchmaking friend, Deirdre Joyce and Neil Hersey found themselves stranded on an island off the coast of Maine. Forced to coexist, they discovered there was no escaping the inevitable —irresistible attraction. The idea of living alone again was unimaginable, and so a marriage of “convenience” seemed like the perfect solution — he would run her family’s company and she would pursue her career. I love Barbra Delinsky and she never fails to give me a good read. This one was no different. Albeit it read VERY fast and the ending was a bit predictable, I still felt that once again these characters were good friends of mine. I have only read about 4 or 5 of Ms. Delinsky's novels and I simply cannot wait to read more. I can always appreciate writers who seem to have the ability to engage the reader with the character almost intimately. I have found that K S Michales has that superb ability to do as well. Enjoy the read, I recommend fully.

An old book of Delinksy's repackaged - you can tell it is old when Deidre, the heroine, busts out her cassette tapes and talks about wall-papering her new house - lol! Typical romance where two people are forced into an uncomfortable situation, dislike each other at first and then, inevitably, fall in love. I listened to it on audio and it was a quick listen but not nearly as good as some of Delinsky's other books.

I enjoyed reading this book I found that if I set it down I wanted to get right back to it. The book was a romantic good read for me. I have only read a couple books of Barbra Delinsky but have found I enjoyed both of them. I am always looking for new books to read and I highly recommend this book.

Loved the story and the bantering between the characters. I could image myself on the island for a needed break!

Enjoyed the story. Traditional mushy romance. On a side note, I couldn't adjust the margins on my SimpleTouch...I did,t like the thick border and small square of text.

A beautiful she cat with black fur padded in. Her bushy tail was tipped with the brightest silver. Her almond shaped royal blue eyes gleamed. She looked around. "May I join?"
