    Fun Read!

Reading this fun take on vampires among us is like opening up a bag of M&Ms. You won¿t be able to stop until it¿s all gone! Gloriana St. Clair, Glory to her friends, is a curvy, centuries old vamp thanks to a man. She fell hard for the man vamp, Jeremy Blade, a hunky Scotsman she begged to transform her back in the Elizabethan era so they could be together always. Only over the years, they¿ve been off and on, mostly due to Blade¿s overprotective instincts. But Glory is no frail wimp. She may be ¿older than dirt¿ to use her words, but she¿s a modern woman intent on making her own way in the world. When Glory¿s stint in a Vegas revue ends, she heads for Austin, Texas to start her own business: Vintage Vamp¿s Emporium. But even as business revs up, Blade shows up to protect her. There¿s an evil vampire hunter stalking the undead and threatening to ruin all Glory has worked so hard for. Bartlett draws readers in immediately with her use of first-person and her powerhouse voice. She builds her world effortlessly, and through Glory¿s eyes, makes it all seem irreverent and just plain fun. Glory is an adorable character, someone easy to identify with when she sighs over her lush figure. As for Blade -- yummy! Real Vampires Have Curves is taking a keeper space on my bookshelf.

Vampires, Two Ghosts, A Dog, and Bats-- Amazing Read!

This was an amazing story that made you wonder who did what and what was going to happen next. I am the type of person that can read a novel in a day but this book made me walk through stores reading and my mom force me to eat. I just couldn't put it down not for a second. I admit I laughed and even felt sad when it was over I just wanted the next book too much for this one to be over so soon. It's a great read.

A Kevlar bra for vamps, makes great supernatural chit lit

I thought this story started out kind of slow. At first I didn't think I was even going to like it. Yet the farther into the book you go, the more you want to keep reading. It's really fun to watch Glory "live" and learn. She might be 400+ years old but she still has A LOT of learning to do. The main character is trying very hard to separate herself from the man who changed her into a vampire, it's like you're watching her fall out of love only to keep falling in to it again, like an old married couple. She is in love with him but hates certain things about him and needs to prove to herself more than anyone else that she is a strong independent modern day woman. I was impressed by the unique ideas brought forth from this book. A Kevlar bra to protect against staking? Why hasn't anyone come up with that before? A heat-seeking device to detect vampires? Genius. Bartlett really raised the bar in paranormal chick lit!

    Rather Disappointing

I thought that this would be a fun read,I read some of the really great reviews on here about the book and decided to buy. I am now half way into this book and I cant get into it. I am still waiting for something exciting to happen or for the plot to show up. The characters are flat , they don't make me care about them or their situation . The style of writing is just plain boring. I never ever have been able to put down a book until its finished . I can't force myself to pick this book back up to finish . Very disappointing and I wont be buying anymore books from G. Bartlett .

    Loved it!!!!

This series is excellent! I love the main character Glory! She's confident with her curves, strong, and hilarious! With two hot vampire men gunning for Glory's attention this book is a home run! With all the playfulness and humor also comes a serious matter, Westwood, the vampire hunter! Glory and her vamp friends have to watch their backs all the time because Westwood has them on his hit list! Very entertaining read and i would definitely recommend this series!!

    Fun, Sexy and Fang-tastic.

This is book one in the series. Wildly entertaining. One of the best vampire romance novels I've read in recent history. Glory, our heroin, has been a vampire for a very very long time. She was turned by the love of her life, Jerry, who has an on-again off-again relationship. She decided to move to Austin and open up a vintage clothing store when the killings start. A hunter is out to kill as many vampires as possible and wear their fangs as a badge of honor. Glory learns to get in touch with her vamp side, block bad boys from reading her mind, and dress with the best fashion sense possible. A super fun, fast read.

After walking from shelf to shelf; I saw the head line, "Real Vampires Have Curves." It screamed to me and I just couldn't walk pass it without taking it home.

Glory is awesome and funny and everything that most people don't think of when Vampire's come to mind. Gerry knew what she wanted out from her story and by every word; one is mesmerized and extremely entertained. This book is all about fun with humorous situations and very funny sexual situations.

    Chuckles and more

I really enjoyed this novel. It's 1st in a series. And I've already started the 2nd one right away as soon as I finished the other. What I really liked is that it continued where the other left off. It's complete in its own but the characters continue. And it's fun. Gloria feels like any other woman/vamp... She wants fun and a relationship... but like life everything is complicated! Looking forward to the rest of the series... Glory's dog talks...And over the centuries she has had similar dogs with the same name. He's her protector. Her sexy vamp boyfriend... ohhh... and her eclectic friends are just as fun.
