A Must Read for Anyone in Business

Great read! Having seen Cy present multiple times I naturally picked up a copy of her book "Reality-Based Leadership," and had it finished, for the first time, in just three days. I now use it as a tool for everyday life in my office, and have even taking some aspects of it into account at home as well. Cy's ideas are easy to relate to and can easily be used in many situations. If your workplace isn't running as smoothly as you would like pick up a copy and check it out. It doesn't matter if you are in a leadership role or not the ideas in this book will help almost anyone reduce the stresses of working in modern-day America.

    Reality-Based Leadership

Drama is emotionally expensive. Making up stories based on judgments about your circumstances is human nature, but those stories chew up time and energy and warp your decisions. Leadership consultant Cy Wakeman presents a simple but powerful process for clearing away blame, excuses and unenthusiastic performance. Much of Wakeman¿s advice is common sense, in keeping with her ¿reality-based¿ outlook. She challenges commonly held beliefs about employee management, most notably the idea that the workplace is a democracy. getAbstract recommends her hard-nosed insights to leaders who are ready to conquer the drama.
