    Hmmm

It's only 68pgs which I find extremely annoying.
Why are authors releasing books only a few chapters at a time?
And then left us with a cliffhanger but no date on part 2.
I want to love this book because it's a good story but what author can't complete a full book?
    Just absolutely frustrating.

It's too bad really...THE CHARACTERS ATE PRETTY GOOD? I mean! COME ON! who will make a mental note to continue on with the series anyway? I should have read the reviews first! DON'T BUY THE BOOK UNTIL THE SERIES IS COMPLETE!!!

Thank you reviewers who warn about books before I buy, that are essentially a chapter. Wish everyone would boycott these authors an maybe they would get the message . I will not purchase from this author no matter how highly rated. Such a disservice to her fans.

Why not just make it one book and save us all the wait?

I will say this was a very well written story, and i enjoyed the whole 20 minutes it took me to read it but i cant stand when an author writes one book and breaks it up into 3,4,5 books. What is the point? I would be willing to bet your readers would enjoy just being able to finish the whole book in one reading, rather than waiting so long just for another 50-60 pages to be released.

    Love It

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. I knew it was short and I thought I was preapred for that. But I didn't expect to fall so hard for it. I can't wait for the second book.

Wow....just WOW....the cliffhanger!!!!!   Yes I'm really bummed out that this is a 3 part series, and there is no release date for the second or third installment. But it was a really good story, and I do recommend it!

~Reviewed by FRANCESCA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog

This was a complete surprise for me.  I stumbled across this book and I was immediately sold on the cover and the blurb.  But I admit I was a bit scared that I would get another “rich boy” (wasn’t sure if he was a billionaire) book.  At the moment, I’ve had an overload of those.

REASONABLE DOUBT is a bit far-fetched but highly entertaining story.  Once I started, I really couldn’t help but be completely involved in the story and want to see it through ’til the end.  And yes, knowing this is sort of considered a serial being that the story continues over a series of novellas, I was expecting that end to come soon.  Even so, it felt as if it had a good length.

But lets get back to the story.  Andrew is a complete jerk.  Emotionally unavailable.  Completely drool-worthy.  Successful, hot and with numerous “assets”.  He likes sex and he gets it often, never from the same woman twice.  He finds his dates online and never shares personal information with them, nor any more time than needed to find his release.  Until he develops a friendship, his one and only, with a mysterious woman.  As much as he wants to meet her, she doesn’t agree.

I’m not usually a fan of jerks, although at times they have some appeal.  And for some reason, Andrew aka Thoreau had that appeal.  Even though at time my jaw would hit the floor about some of the things he would say, but I can see how someone would keep coming back for more! LOL

Aubrey started out very likeable for me but when things changed between them I feel like her confidence faltered just a bit.  I hope she doesn’t turn into a typical young heroine.  I like her being feisty and I hope she stays like that!  One thing is for sure, these two have great chemistry!

I hope that the next installment in this serial brings the same appeal for me and I can’t wait for more Andrew.

    Can't wait for more

Loved it!!! Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot. Did I mention that it was hot? I loved the characters even though Andrew is not loveable all the time. I did not expect the ending. The only reason I did not give it a full 5 stars is because it was way to short. I can not wait for book 2!

Over 18+...I herate cliffhangers so I'm glad I bought book 1 and 2 at the same time. I found no typos or editing mistakes which is always refreshing. The hero is unlikable and the the heroine is a liar so there is not a lot to get behind in this book. The chemistry between the two main characters is written very well and definitely sizzles. I really did not care for either character but the story flowed well and you keep reading hoping things will work out. There is a big "grab" at the end so you have  no choice but to get book 2.

I am really disappointed in this series. It had potential.
There was too much redundancy; sex scenes, repititious paragraphs, and verbage with sex scenes were bad!! At one point I thought the author was trying too hard to channel a "Fifty Shades" read, then she switched her writing technique to come off like a "high school" romance. The writing was "All" over the place. I had to keep remembering the main characters were in there late 20's.....not 16.

I really wanted to "slap" Olivia for being an "ass" and so immature.. Who trusts a guy when he tried to kill you!!!! And who spends copious amts on therapy when she still behaves like a 6 year old. Grow up a little!!!! That was my last straw. I always try to finish a book but this series was really, really bad...

I really liked Alex up to a certain point, the suspense kept me turning pages and buying books 2 & 3.... But please, please, next time, write about a strong woman who overcomes tragedy not a tragedy of a woman!! I like to bond with the MC's I read, but these tw were just pathetic!!
    LOVETOREAD but not this.

If you gonna read this book, get the set or you be dissapointed!

Ok, yeah....... Andrew or Liam is ..... uhmmmm, very staight to the point and quite crude, and a uncomfortable sexy. I personally would'nt be as graceful as Aburey and tolerate as much as she does. But there is a chemistry that keeps me hanging on till the end and it all makes a world of diffrence when you stick it out and see why Andrew is the way he is. I read these 3 books in a day, it is short but sweet! Towards the end of the story, that song from Phil Collins "In the air tonite" echoed in my mind. Hopefully, if you do decide to read it you will understand why. I hope you like this story, I did.
    Sho-nuff!!

4 Smutty Stars – Reasonable Doubt: Volume 1 is the 1st book in an erotic serial romance—and I use the word “romance” lightly—by Whitney Gracia Williams.

“Lies always catch up to people in the end. Why don’t people understand that?”

Andrew Hamilton—aka Thoreau—has spent the last six years detaching himself from everyone, refusing to build any friendships, until he meets Aubrey Everhart—aka Alyssa—through the anonymous and exclusive social network LawyerChat. Over a six month period they develop an online friendship based on lies and deceit, until Aubrey/Alyssa walks into an undergraduate internship interview with Greenwood, Bach and HAMILTON—one of the most prestigious law firms in Durham, North Carolina—and comes face to face with Andrew/Thoreau.

Capital “L”, small “i”, small “a”, small “r”, small “s”, period. LIARS. End of story.

I’m not a big fan of alpha-aholes, but, nonetheless, something about this story was intriguing to me. Addictive. Consuming. And I simply couldn’t put it down. Reasonable Doubt: Volume 1 is a short, smutty, entertaining read that will leave you wanting more.
