I' so thrilled that the Inside Out novellas are finally all together and in PRINT! This bundle edition includes all four volumes of Rebecca's Lost Journals (not the ones from the full length novels) and as an added bonus, includes The Master Undone. You don't need to have read the series (but you should!) to read the journals. They are collectively a standalone. However, The Master Undone contains spoilers for If I Were You and Being Me, so keep that in mind.
If you're reading the journals after reading the full length novels you're in for a treat. The journals fed my obsession with finding out more about Rebecca, her master, and her life in general. The journals are set before If I Were You takes place and takes you down the rabbit hole that Rebecca got sucked into. Each of the journal entries gives you more to think about, a new possibility to consider and drags you deeper into the wild and seductive world of the Inside Out series. I honestly think the journals are a key element to the series. It gave me more insight into who Rebecca is and her life. It answers questions that have been nagging at me from the beginning of If I Were You. They are definitely a must read!
The Master Undone- well, I can't really review that without giving spoilers. Suffice it to say this lays the ground work for all that is forthcoming in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th books as well as the novellas coming out this year too. This is Rebecca's master's story. You'll get inside his head. But, with one major difference. This takes place well after the journals. There are several key things that have happened since Rebecca last put down her pen, and questions that have the readers burning for answers. So, The Master Undone puts those readers into a totally different element. The Master has a story of his own to tell and a journey of his own to finish. For some, this novella will clear up a lot of questions. For others, it will just spark more inquiries. No matter which group you fall into, if you've read the series this is an absolute MUST read! Yes, it is fantastic and wonderful. But there are a lot of logistics and hints given in this novella that you need to know going into the rest of the series.
Together this bundle is simply a crafty, seductive tale that sucked in me completely. Ms. Jones never disappoints with her engaging characters, and mysterious story lines. To me, this book is an epic addition to an already stunning series, and well worth the read.
Series order for reference:
If I Were You
Rebecca's Lost Journals* (can be read at any point but, personally I think it is best to read all four after the first book)
The Master Undone* (Part of this bundle)
My Hunger*(July 2014)
No In Between (August 2014)
My Control* (September 2014)
I Belong To You (November 2014)
*= novella, all others are FULL LENGTH novels!

I loved Rebecca's Lost Journals!
They let us see into Mark and Rebecca's relationship and how it developed. Of course we know that Mark wanted Rebecca to be his as soon as he set eyes on her the first time and although Rebecca felt that automatic pull to Mark she was afraid of losing herself as a person. We got to see Mark help her through issues and got to see Rebecca grow as a person, but in the end was she okay with what she was doing? No.
I can't wait to read more from this series, because I love Lisa Renee Jones writing style. She pulls you into the story and you feel like you are right there with them and that is so amazing.

Lisa Renee Jones has been on my TBR for a long time. I wasn't sure reading this as journal entries was going to play well for me, but I was shocked. These journals are quite compelling and give us remarkable insight. There isn't a lot of conversation, but you don't expect it with this being a journal. There was just enough to make it the perfect amount. I have not read If I Were You or Being Me, but the character development is there in the journals. I don't know how she did it, but I was mesmerized and didn't realize how quickly I read the 4 journals. And I wanted a lot more! I am not happy with the ending of the journals because I wanted them to continue. Rebecca is a fascinating character who knows who she is, goes on a journey of self discovery, loses herself and decides to get herself back. Many of us go through these steps in our own lives - but our own story line doesn't necessarily include a Master. It was fascinating for me to see Rebecca's recorded journey. I cannot wait to read the novels now. (I have not yet read Master Undone as the novels need to be read first in order to avoid spoilers.) I would suggest anyone to read this book of journals.

Rebecca’s Lost Journals is a collection of different novellas that also includes Master Undone. I read this story after I finished No In Between. It is suggested that you read this before the last book, but I liked that I had read the fourth one first. The book is mainly Rebecca’s early journal entries and depicts her relationship with Mark. We get to know more about the woman who has affected so many lives and the man that changed hers forever. We see that she struggled greatly with the decision to be with Mark and what I didn’t realize is that she and Mark were together for longer than I thought. We now know why she had to leave.
In Master Undone, which is part of this collection, we see more of how Rebecca’s death has changed Mark. We get to see the man and not the master. There is a glimpse into why he chose his present lifestyle and we are introduced to Chrystal, the woman who helps his mom run Riptide. She and Mark are alike in so many ways. Despite his best efforts he finds her attractive, even though she is nothing like the women that he usually chooses to be his. Crystal isn’t one to be controlled in or out of the bedroom and Mark is thrown for a loop. I can’t wait till we get to see more of this story. I think that this book serves to show Mark as human and less of an arrogant ass and dominant creep. As with everyone, there is more than what you see on the surface and I hope that the next book in the series allows us to peel back his many layers and expose the seemingly damaged man underneath.

Really enjoyed reading Rebecca's thoughts and seeing that Mark could show a tender side. Since they had a contract and Mark told her if she tried something and didn't like it they could revise, I wish she would have communicated how much she disliked being shared, especially where Ava was concerned. But I guess it all lead up to how everything unfolded. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I had to buy the journals separately, therefore they cost me a little more, wish I would have known they would eventually be sold together. I'll stop whining now.. I'm glad we get a more indebt look at what Mark and Rebecca have together, it will help as the series continues. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. 4.5 stars: THE SEDUCTION is an interesting introspective into one woman’s journey of discovery. The ‘Master’ claims that Rebecca will hold all of the power, but Rebecca sees something different-the possibility of losing more than her heart-but herself.
THE CONTRACT continues Rebecca’s journey from independent woman to ‘slave’, but it also allows the reader to get a deeper understanding of the nuances behind the fear and anxiety facing a young woman trapped between the life she wants and the lifestyle she is being offered. Lisa writes another engaging and fascinating look into Rebecca's journals.
HIS SUBMISSIVE gives the reader a glimpse into the world of Dom/sub relationships and what our heroine Rebecca will encounter in the next stage of her acceptance and submission. I can only hope that Rebecca does not lose herself to the man who will be taking the ultimate control of her body and her heart.
My Master is a revealing look at Rebecca’s fears of losing herself to the man with whom she may be falling in love. But love doesn’t recognize the dark side of the ‘Master’ and it will be take all of her strength to show the ‘Master’ what it is SHE wants –now and in the future. Lisa takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride as we are witness to Rebecca’s pain and sorrow at the choices she will have to make.
REBECCA’S LOST JOURNALS take the reader inside the mind of a woman caught between two worlds. She is in love with the Master but knows that the Master can’t give her what she wants.
Lisa Renee Jones writes an amazing series with suspense, mystery, heartbreak and betrayal. Get your copy today-you don’t want to be left out.

5.0 Star Review - Rebecca's Lost Journals
If you have not read the other stories in this series I encourage you to do so. You need the information from the other stories to understand these novellas.
These journals are a peek into Rebecca's life with Mark. How they met and how she came to work for him. You get pieces of there relationship and the dynamic of it. You will feel her pain and sorrow throughout the entries.
BONUS Story (Master Undone) included with the box set
Loved that you finally got a little of Rebecca's story. Wished that you got more of her story even if it was from Mark's point of view. Lisa pulls you in from the very beginning of the series and gives you the story you need from all the points of views.
Can't wait for the next book in this series.

I am so glad that I took the time to read Rebecca’s Lost Journals by Lisa Renee Jones. I was intrigued by the glimpse we got of Rebecca’s life in the snippets of the journals shown in If I were you. These journals showed the evolution of Rebecca from a shy, timid person, to a slave of desire that she found with Mark. Eventually, it was not enough. You can feel her confusion on how she does feel and how she should feel.
The second part of the book, The Master Undone, gives the reader a look at how Mark copes with the loss of Rebecca, his mother’s illness, and the spark that he feels with Riptide’s new hire. He is very confused on his feelings for Crystal. He allows things with her that he allows from no person.
I give this book 4 stars. As a standalone, it is liable to leave the reader confused. As part of the series, it gives some valuable insight on to why Mark and Chris act as they do. I recommend this book to anyone reading this series.

Journals are meant to be private recordings of one's innermost thoughts. Rebecca's Lost Journals are no exception to this rule. Her journals reveal a world of excitement, fear, pain, and pleasure. The thoughts that she shares in these intimate pages are something that you will never forget.
I have fallen right along with Rebecca and fear that I will never get my breath back after her candid words. I would suggest the journals be read AFTER The Master Undone. The pain and feeling of betrayal is too raw when done in reverse.
I can not help but give Lisa Renee Jones another high rating. I can live and breath her characters as she writes them.

** spoiler alert ** I read this without reading the main books 1, 2 or 3 but now I definitely will. The author did a fab job of enough backstory despite this that I felt I got to know what was going on to keep up with Rebecca and Mark. The only time I was confused was in the final novella where I really needed to have read book 1.0 and 2.0. I really really didn’t want to get into another series as I have some many others half read, but Lisa’s storytelling enticed me into wanting to know what happened to Rebecca. I am unsure about Mark and Crystal, I want him to be with Rebecca so I am hoping she isn’t really dead and just missing! I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

~*~* Mad in Wonderland Reviews*~*~
Journals received free in exchange for an honest review.
After reading If I Were You and Being Me, I dove right into Rebecca's Lost Journals. I couldn't wait to see things from the point of view of our missing and partially leading lady. I was so engrossed in watching her evolve and change into a different person. My heart went out to her with all the conflict she felt and decisions she grew to realize she had to make within herself and her relationship with "Master". This was a perfect reading experience to understand what made the journals so important and learn more about Rebecca.

Loving these journals!! The journey into Rebecca's mind adds so much to the story!
A quick read showing us Rebecca's point of view during her introduction into the BDSM lifestyle. Written like journal entries, you get an inside look at how Rebecca feels about the sexy mystery man and what he want's from her.
There's no clue in the first set of journals as to who her Master is, I have no clue at this point who I would even suspect.
Volume2 In the second installment Rebecca and her Master are trying to iron out a contract. Rebecca is still skittish about trying some new things while her Master ofcourse tries to talk her into trying everything atleast once.
We still have no clue who the Master is, I have thought back over and over what I've read so far and haven't a clue who he could be as of yet!!
this second part giving us greater insight into both Rebecca and her Master.
Volume 3 In part three we see Rebecca struggling with her role as a submissive.
We get more background on her co-workers and him. Him who we still have no idea who is!! This is going to drive me nuts, I literally am analyzing the journals now looking for clues as to who he could be.
I must admit there are parts of this journal that drop "him" from my list of likeable characters, as it goes on I'm sure we'll understand him better but for now he's not one of my favorite characters anymore.
I love getting little snippets of what's going on in between books with these journals, I hope we can figure out who "him" is soon!
Volume 4 takes us into the future with Rebecca and her Master. They have renewed their contract multiple times and Rebecca realizes she is falling in love with him. He on the other hand does not believe in love and it seems claiming Rebecca publicly is as close to love as he gets.
This is where everything starts to change, Rebecca realizes her needs will not be met if things continue as they are and refuses to sign another contract though she loves him.
I still have no clue who Master is, though I do have an idea or three bouncing around in my head!! Hopefully his identity will come out soon, I don't know how much more of the mystery man I can take!!

This book was a great read. Reading into Rebecca's journals and how she felt about everything going on and things she was unsure of as well.

If you don’t already know, Rebecca’s Lost Journals are novellas to the Inside Out series. The premise is that Sara, who is the heroine from the Inside Out series, is in search for Rebecca by using these journals as a guide. She has a set of journals in her possession and these novellas are for your eyes only. Sara will never get to read these entries.
I loved reading these novellas. I had the opportunity to follow along as Ms. Jones had released these journals the first time and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them. It's even better now that they are all in one compilation. I loved trying to find out what Rebecca was up to and reading her day to day adventures were pretty addicting…not to mention her relationship with her man aka "master". As a bonus, the last novella is actually in HIS POV. Because he is loved by Jone’s fans, this short story was an “eagerly anticipated” read.
Take note that these journals are closely related to the main story. Some say it can be read as standalone and I suppose you can but I strongly encouraged reading in order. I promise it’ll be worth your time. Ms. Jones' Inside Out Series is one of my all time favorite reads.
The reading order as as follows.

The Master Undone (Inside Out, #2.5)

After reading your other stories it was nice to get a bit more understanding with Rebecca and Mark. It must be devastating to love someone knowing they can't return your love. She did the only thing could do and keep her distance. I will be rereading the other books. Pick this book if you like BDSM. Put it down if you don't. I liked it.Was this review helpful?
