This book is a story of a young man¿s life who through all his struggles attains greatness. Being the son of one of the most influential religious men in America, Billy Graham, he dealt with adversity and trying to live up to peoples expectations for his future. As a young boy Franklin rebelled doing stuff that no 8 year old should. Which included smoking, and in his high school years drinking. A kid whose father was off doing conferences and leading people by the thousands to Jesus Franklin still could not find his place. But after being thrown out of college, that was the last straw for him. He turned around his life and the rest is history: Franklin is the President of Samaritans Purse, Chairman of the Board of World Medical Mission, and an Ordained Christian Minister. All this after his struggle to find his identity and ability to overcome all the adversity against him is a great accomplishment in itself. Some major messages of this book include maybe the greatest Christian parenting ever. His father Billy Graham never once stopped believing in his son. Billy Graham illustrated what a true Christian father figure should be. Also the struggle of having a famous parent and finding your own way and wondering if you are being viewed as an individual, not just an extension of your parents. I really enjoyed Rebel with a Cause, the story of a man whose struggles shaped his life really stuck out to me and my own life. How God tests us everyday and helps shape our lives into the men He wants us to be. Unfortunately the only thing that I didn¿t like was the long reading, but it was well worth it so really there¿s nothing wrong with this book it is amazingly explicit in describing his life and how he connects his story to God is just fantastic. If you want an amazing read you will read this book, it teaches so many life lessons and the ability to rise to your potential even if you think there is nothing out there for you. Also read some of his other good works: biography Bob Pierce: This One Thing I Do. I give this book an overall rating of an A. This book was amazing and I learned a lot through this read.
'REBEL WITH A CAUSE' IS A VERY AMAZING STORY. FRANKLIN GRAHAM TELLS HOW HE WAS REALLY LEADING A TOUGH AND HARSH LIFE AND YET HIS PARENTS STUCK WITH HIM CAUSE THEY KNEW GOD HAD A PLAN FOR AND THEY WERE RIGHT CAUSE ONE NIGHT IT ALL CHANGED. I THINK WHAT MAKES THIS BOOK STAND OUT IS A PARENTS LOVE FOR THERE SON AS WELL AS SOMEONE AND I ALSO THINK IF SOMEONE HAS HAD PROBLEMS IN THERE LIFE THAT THIS BOOK WILL BE A BLESSING TO THEM CAUSE IT SHOWS THAT ANYONE NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE REGARDLESS OF THERE SITUATION CAN COME BACK TO CHRIST AS DID FRANKLIN GRAHAM. MY PASTOR RECENTLY RECAMENDED THIS BOOK AS A BOOK OF HOPE.
