Overview

Jessica Rhodes is in a blissful relationship with sexy, successful Jason Wilds. She is espousing the merits of letterpress bridal response cards and shrimp forks to her fling-of-the-week best friend Meg, when Mr. Wonderful, Mr. Bright Smile and Sexy, Tousled Hair, dumps her. Unceremoniously, ingloriously, dumps her.

Determined to get over him and in desperate need of a date to her high-stakes holiday party, Jessica posts an online ad: Wanted: Rebound Guy. No sex, no strings, no lies. Her surge of online honesty receives a wave of lurid replies from gold-chained divorcees and college students hungry for a free meal. But amongst all those no-sales is one very catching email from 'Ordinary Guy'. He’s funny and witty, interesting enough to be charming, but not needy enough to be alarming.

Jessica and Ben begin to swap emails, and soon she finds that he just might be the ideal Rebound Guy: the perfect, no-strings-attached holiday date and just what Jessica needs to make Jason Wilds see-the-light jealous. But once the web site goes down and the holiday decorations go up – could it be? Jessica just might be falling in love, strings and all, with the Rebound Guy.

Quirky, fun with a happy ending

Do you stay with the known or take a chance? Jessica has it all planned out: from the proposal to her happily ever after when her exclusive guy of years suddenly gets cold feet. After being devastated, messing up on the job and with her (mandatory) BFF she gives on-line dating a try.

Confused, and a heroine easy to nominate for least likely to ever take a risk, she has to come to grips with her own self worth and what she wants from life.

Not always likeable (I really don't think all single women of that age are really that self absorbed), the story flows well and isn't overburdened with too many distracting elements or subplots.

Buy it, read it, you will enjoy it!
