Overview

Recipe for Homicide by Edgar award-winning author Lawrence G. Blochman

After a taste-test at Barzac Soup one of the tasters gives a negative review of the new formula...by dying. Bob Gilmore, the company's PR man, becomes suspicious and brings in Dr. Dan Coffee, chief pathologist for Pasteur Hospital, to perform tests on the samples.

Coffee concludes that the soup had been adulterated and the taster's death was therefore murder. Was the motive financial, political, or personal? The company's activities suggest the possibility of any of these, and only Dr. Coffee, with assistance from Dr. Motilal Mookerji, Pasteur's resident in pathology, can get to the bottom of things.
