    Both erotic and romantic...

Vaguely reminiscent of the film, `Like Water for Chocolate¿, food plays a big part in the story. In fact, the book includes recipes, mostly Cuban, mostly health-conscious, and they all look interesting if you like to cook! But more than the recipes, the food is a central theme and is a major element of the sensuality. Freelance journalist Ariana Padron goes home to Miami for a funeral, never expecting to meet her soul mate, Gerald, a talented sculptor. Love hits hard and fast, and so does passion. The story is laced with very steamy sex, the colors and textures of good food, and much discussion of love. Highly sensual, this author has a talent for rich description. As an art lover, I thoroughly enjoyed her discussion of Gerald¿s sculpture. It reminded me very much of the erotic art of Rodin and Canova. Art and food, two of my favorite things. And then there¿s the sex. Sometimes sensual, more often raw and edgy including very blunt language, Ariana¿s sexual escapades lead her through a process of internal growth and bring her to love. Some of the more philosophical discussions are quite interesting. This story may be slower-paced than some readers would enjoy, but for me the pace itself spoke of the sultry Miami heat. The small peek into Cuban-American culture is intriguing, although I found myself wanting more of it. Overall, I found this to be a real woman¿s book, as it is ultimately about love. And the titillating journey from beginning to end was quite enjoyable. I definitely recommend this story if you like your romance smoking hot!

    From Just Erotic Romance Reviews

Ariana returns to Miami after a long sojourn in Boston to attend the funeral of her great aunt. After the breakup of her latest relationship it¿s time for a change and Miami has never felt more like a haven. This is a time for some diversions and new experiences. Ariana is enticed by some new loves in her life and tempted by her passion of great food. Ariana soon meets Gerald Loren, a talented up-and-coming sculptor, who brings out her passionate creativity. And her brief diversion with the darkly dangerous but enigmatic Eric McGregor puts her newfound love to the test. Recipe For Romance is a tale for lovers of erotic romance and gourmands alike. This wonderful erotic tale is interspersed with recipes of Cuban, Cajun and American flavors, just like Ariana herself who is of Cuban and American extraction. Aspects of her culture are explored along with her relationship with the sculptor Gerald, and the diversion posed by the sinfully dangerous Eric, a cop who is suspended from active duty. Ariana¿s character has been developed in such a way that she is universally appealing to readers of all ages and sexes. This is the type of book that hints at chick-lit but is so much more. Eric is forcefully dominant in his encounters with Ariana and compulsively arousing in contrast to Gerald who is enticing, delicious and a true hedonistic hero who knows how to bring out Ariana¿s sensual streak. The characters in Recipe For Romance have substance and with all the nuances of complex and thought-provoking people who live multifaceted lives in their journey in the discovery of love. Ariana, Gerald, and the assorted likeable and funny characters, not to mention the tempting recipes provided for the reader¿s delectation, will have you coming back time after time to this sensually atmospheric book.
