I love crime fiction but usually do not read the romance genre due to ovely-descriptive sex scenes. This book contained both crime and romance without that and was thoroughly enjoyable.

I enjoyed this book a lot? My first for this writer but not my last. Not crazy about the ending so 4 instead of 5 stars. GJRA

This book was about 175 pages on my old nook touch. The story did not end in a cliffhanger. I will probably buy the next few to read more about other characters. I liked the plot and characters so much. Does not contain graphic sex scenes. I recommend this one!!

I am in love with the Shattered Sisters series! To he honest it is killing me to take a minute and write this review instead of rushing straight into the next book - Forgotten! I cannot believe that I had never read this book before now - Toni Rio is a best-selling writer whose fiction just so happens to be based on facts. Her uncanny sleuthing lands her in the arms of undercover FBI Agent Nick Manelli. Nick is in too deep and refuses to break cover, so he takes the only option left - he pretends to kill the broad and kidnaps her. Together they give us an action packed thriller that keeps you rooting for them until the very end. SO! What are you waiting for? Grab this book and allow Maggie Shayne to sweep you into another world! Now to read about the Next "Shattered Sister" Joey!!

The thrill of the ride woohoo .FBI meet the true crime writer. Lets see where this will take I can,t wait for book 2. Wow! Drama and action abound! What happens when you pair up a jaded undercover federal agent with a too-smart-for-her-own-good crime investigating writer? A page-turning, quick-paced roller coaster of a story! Maggie's expert storytelling has you routing for Toni Rio from the beginning! Neither Nick nor Toni want to trust the other, but fate has thrown them together for better or for worse. Both have tragedy in their past, and guilt dogging their steps, but they must come to trust each other if they both hope to survive the crime family they were hoping to break. This is a break from my normal genre of paranormal reading, but it helped refresh me as a change of pace. I loved the characters, and how Maggie tries to set at least part of almost every story she writes in local towns and cities.
