Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Traci Avalos
What would you do if you had superpowers? For these teens, the weight of World War III hangs on their shoulders. As different world organizations struggle for power, they use the superhumans as pawns to gain advantage over one another. The lines between good and evil, and heroes and villains are blurred, and each teen must decide for themselves which path to choose. The story takes the reader on an epic journey set across continents. There are some good lessons to be learned here, such as the power of friendship, teamwork, and believing in yourself. For readers who like Gone by Michael Grant or Shade's Children by Garth Nix, this book has a similar feel. There is a huge cast of characters, and this is definitely not a stand alone book—you will need to read the previous books in the series to do the story justice. This book is the third title in the "Quantum Prophecy/New Heroes" series. Reviewer: Traci Avalos
