Overview

"If the true bloodline does not rule Ter Chadain, the Protector shall appear and reclaim the throne for the rightful Queen."
King Englewood reads the prophecy every day since he murdered the royal family, all of them. Or so he thought. The three year old twins escaped that night thirteen years ago, but his men are closing in to finish the job before they can turn sixteen and activate the magic spell making his worst fears a reality. A Protector in Ter Chadain and a royal heir with claims to the throne he now held.
Logan and Teah Lassain witness the violent murder of their family and narrowly escape. They now find themselves not only thrust into the revolution, but the keys to the reunification of Ter Chadain.
Bestowed with the powers and spirits of past Protectors, Logan must learn to control both before their memories destroy him. Wrenched with anger and the desire for revenge on the man responsible for decimating his life, King Englewood, Logan must keep to the path of greater good and gather support for the revolution from the dukes and duchesses of Ter Chadain.
Teah is trained by the Zele Magus, an order of sorceresses, to control and accept her newly discovered magical powers enabling her to take the throne. Struggling, she must also ask the question...what happens when there are two Protectors of Ter Chadain? Two Protectors are not foretold in the prophecies....

    Couldn't put this book down!!!

I love a good fantasy. When I started this book, I didn't know where it'd leave me but I'm so glad it left me in a good place. I rushed to buy the sequel and now can't wait for the third book.
This book was not slow in the least. Action started with the first three pages.
The main characters Logan and Teach are on a quest to fulfill their destiny after being secluded for their safety until their 16th birthday. The author did a great job keeping you in the know. You cheered for the main characters and wanted them to succeed in the end. Great story!

The book has several good points including a well thought out fantasy world. The downside is that the story, which is not overly long, just stops. This is not a stand-alone story as every book in a tale should be. Think of LOTR or The Game of Kings, each of which left the story incomplete but still left a feeling of closure. This book did not leave any such sensei. It was not a satisfying or adept ending.

Reclaiming Ter Chadain is a wonderful addition to any fantasy-lover's bookshelf. The story follows teenage twins, Logan and Teah Lassain, as they come into their birthrights. Readers experience the twins assuming their powers and abilities as a revolution occurs around them. It's a fantastic journey, indeed!

This book was a true page-turner for me. I didn't want to stop reading to find out what would happen next. The plot itself was unpredictable, keeping me guessing and surprising me at several turns. The fact that the twins can kick some serious tail didn't hurt matters, either.

C.S. Yelle does a wonderful job of world-building and character development. I thought the characters were well-written and believable. In particular, I liked the spirits that resided in Logan's head. Their interactions with Logan were fresh, often humorous and quite engaging. I will definitely read the next book in the series, Black Stones of Ter Chadain.

    Highly Recommend

My first read of a fantasy book. Great characters, descriptions, and action. Excellent story line. Interweaving, holds your interest, exciting, and has surprises. Definitely a book to read if you have never ventured into fantasy and want to have an interesting read and 'get away.' I am really anticipating Book Two and hope it is available in the near future.

VERY Highly Recommended - a must read!

For C. S. Yelle's first novel, this is quite the success in my opinion! It is very entertaining and exciting, with great characters. Yelle has a way of keeping you turning those pages to find out what happens next. When I finished I found my self wanting the 2nd book NOW!
I like the fantasy type of books. I've read the likes of Terry Goodkind, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling and C.S. Yelle ranks right up there with them. Don't miss out on this one!!

    Excellent Story! Good read!

This book is a must read for anyone who enjoys the adventure of a quest. The action, swordplay, intrigue, deception, and the call to arms are all sprinkled together with the magic of powerful wizards and sorceresses. The author is an excellent story teller whose writing skills are on par with the likes of Jordan and Goodkind. The story unfolds in an exciting yet natural way with just enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. The characters are developed very well. Their interrelationships, personalities, hopes and fears spring forth from the pages. You will despise the corrupt King Englewood and his evil sorceress. You will cheer on Logan and Teah as they strive to save the kingdom and reclaim the throne for the rightful Queen. The reader should be warned that you will be captivated while being drawn into this world and will lose all sense of time. I sat down to read the first few pages and the next thing I knew I was already on chapter 10. The story will hold your attention all the way to the final sentence and will definitely have you asking for more.
