Description: This is the second edition of a two-volume publication dedicated to joint reconstructive surgery in adults that includes upper extremities, lower extremities, and related basic sciences.
Purpose: Over the past 20 years, many books and articles addressed only total joint replacement. This book also includes nonreplacement arthroplasties, which provide the surgeon with an alternative he or she could consider in many cases when indication for replacement surgery is questionable.
Audience: This book is helpful to orthopedic surgeons and residents as a reference that provides global information on reconstructive surgery.
Features: This book has 1,875 pages in two hardcover volumes, with a well organized table of contents and an excellent reference list. It has good quality black-and-white illustrations.
Assessment: This is an excellent publication edited and authored by experts.
