If just starting out, this is the one you want!

This is a great little beginners book for the recorder. Very basic and easy to understand. The enclosed CD is also helpful.

    Adults learning the Recorder

We (an adult couple) are learning to play recorders as a form of stimulation, with the hope of being able to take them traveling and hiking with us for our own entertainment on mountain tops and beaches. This book has a great progression and is easy for those of us who do not understand music terminology. We'd like it to have more tunes which are interesting for adults rather than for kids, but it has gotten us started!

    This is a GREAT book!

This book will help you to read music! It transitions from using letters to help you play the recorder into reading music notes. It is a great help if you want to learn to read music while learning to play the recorder.
