    An Orchard Mystery Fan!

I love this series. I was taught to not judge a book by it's cover, but, hey, the covers on this series are great! I love apples and mysteries, that's what drew me in. Ms. Connolly did not disappoint. Love the first ONE BAD APPLE and had to get the rest!! Love the recipes included also. Can't wait to read the next.

The third book in this series brings us closer to the main chara

The third book in this series brings us closer to the main characters.... Meg and Seth's romance moves right along and we learn more about Bree. The mystery was a little weak. I would have liked to see a little more suspense and less information about the restaurant that opened. I think perhaps the author was on a diet when she wrote this book-- she was a little too 'heavy' about informing the reader of healthy sustainable foods. I've been going to Farmers' Markets for a long time and was hoping for more twists and turns and less to do about sustainable eating. I found myself wanting to hop over to Joann Fluke's Hannah Swensen Series and bring a few cookies into the new restaurant! I loved reading about the apple orchard in this third book and I was kept guessing until the end. All in all this is a great, great series!

    Truly enjoyable

In the third installment of her Orchard series Meg Corey connects a trio of young people to a local realtor to help them in their search for a local for a new restaurant. They are young, ambitious, and would like to utilize locally grown products in their business which would be a boon to Granford. When one of the trio is found dead at a local farm events begin to unfold to show different aspects of each of the characters involved from the Select Board to Lauren, an old friend of Meg's from the city, to Meg's nemisis Detective Bill Marcus.

Ms. Connolly continues to deliver a tightly written mystery with interesting and engaging characters in a comfortable and charming setting. The goats are delightful as well.

Don't Read the Back Cover First!

I like to read a mystery without even looking at the plot teaser on the back cover so I can experience the story just the way the author presents it, with no foreknowledge of who will die and how. That was especially important with this book and really made this book more enjoyable, as the discovery of the body came in a great way -- if you weren't anticipating it after reading the back cover.

I had read part of the third book in the series but decided to go back and find the first book before finishing the third. The first one is good but the third one (now finished) is better. I just got the second one, so you can see I like the series.

Not as good as the First 2...but still worth reading.

In my opinion this book was slower than the first two...a little harder to get into. It took longer to get to the murder. On the plus side this one was harder to figure out whodunit. It's still worth reading if for nothing more than to find out what's going on with Meg, Seth, and everyone else in Granford.

    A great read!!

I really got into this book. For a new series it really started off good. The characters are really interesting. They seem to go together.I like reading about the apple farm. I hope to read many more of these books.

    File problem spoiled my fun!

The story was spoiled by problems with the file. Pages repeated endlessly. 50 to 59, 140 to 146, over and over in a loop.
