Red Hots is an incredibly sensuous erotic romance. It tells of Kindle Langston, a smart, driven woman who gives everything to her job. She needs balance in her life but seems unable to find it. Her best friend is in a 24/7 D/s relationship so she isn’t unaware of the lifestyle but she really doesn’t get it until she meets Masaun Hawkes aka “Dom Hawk”. He shows her that he can help her find a balance when she lets go and gives him control even if for just a little while.
I liked that Masaun has been where Kindle is now. He too had the driven, high profile, successful career that brought him no joy. Now he is still successful (maybe not making as much) but he has made changes in his life that make him much more at peace until of course he meets Kindle. I’ve met more than one Kindle in my life and am so very glad that this Kindle found Masaun.
The only thing I didn’t like about this book was the cover. I think it sad that the characters on the cover have absolutely no resemblance to the characters in the story.

Didn't someone, whether it was the author or her editor or the publicist think to hit the "spell check and grammar check" buttons on the computer before this book was unleashed on the unsuspecting public? Additionally, after reading a number of books by this writer, I cannot help to susoect that this one was written by someone other than the writer. Beware. I don't understand how this book rated so high. .. I recognize that one star is required to post a comment. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This was my first time reading an Yvette Hines novel, and it certainly won't be my last. I enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters Masaun and Kindle. They were well developed, likeable, and relatable. I wouldn't mind reading future stories about them. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Yvette Hines writes heroines with heart and passion. I couldn't help but want to pull for Kindle Langston in both her career and in her foray into BDSM. The BDSM play definitely had me engaged. She wrote each play scene with such patience like a Domme. As a reader, you felt every stroke of the flogger.
Wielding that flogger was the equally magnetic hero, Masaun Hawkes. Masaun was an alpha hero with a capital A. He was so sure of his skills, his desires, and in his play. It's no wonder Kindle agreed to submit to him.
I enjoyed this romantic tale, and not because I wrote the 2nd book in the series, LICORICE WHIPS. I loved the characters. When they got embarrassed (loved the panty scene in Kindle's office), I got embarrassed with her. When Kindle was excited (and who wouldn't be with that Dom?) my heart pounded with her. When the story ended, I wanted more.
Way to go, Yvette, for giving readers another great story to hold onto.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The chemistry between the H/h was palpable; so smoldering I thought my Nook would melt :)
The hero recognized the heroine for what she was; a submissive with no idea of how to truly let go. The journey to discovering her true self was beautiful; well played by the characters and very well written by the author....loved this book!

This was an amazing read! Yvette Hines is one of the best in the genre. I love her writing style and her books always keep me engaged. I struggle with this genre at times because it can get heavy, but she does it with class. The story is well told with well developed characters. I found the interaction to be engaging and the storyline to be very entertaining. We highly recommend this book, you will not be disappointed!! Add this to your collection today!!!
