It's always the one you least expect...

My brother is dead.
My house is in a pile of ashes.
Fingers are pointing at me.
People think I did it.

Why would I do something like this?
Why doesn't anyone believe me?

Except...

Hayes believes me-a charming stranger I met at a park one late night.
A stranger. Is that what he is?

I should probably

I want to start off by saying that I am already mourning the characters. I wish there was more to read... I was immediately hooked and I would try to squeeze reading in anywhere I could. The main character, Felicity, is going through a tragic event and as the reader you can imagine yourself feeling those "feelings." Thankfully Hayes, who by the way is my favorite, enters the story and with his humor and own secretive past helps Felicity navigate through the many obstacles she faces. Before, I started this book I was skeptical. I feared I wouldn't like it as much or more than Shari J. Ryan's Schasm series, but I DO! This is a must read!

This was an endearing, mysterious, and completely addictive story. I had a hunch fairly quickly of who did it and I was correct, but I was hooked and couldn't put it down regardless. How would you feel if you thought, but weren't positive, that your actions may have killed someone that you love, a part of yourself? That is what our heroine is dealing with through much of the book. The hero, Hayes, (I LOVE him by the way) is dealing with his own grief and demons but is taken by her pretty much immediately. He is a huge cheeseball but he was sweet, kind, smart, and super understanding. These two meet in the most unlikely of places and situations but it is obvious that they are meant to help each other heal. It was a little out there as far as how quickly they trusted each other but I enjoyed it regardless! I hope there is more to come. The book ended in a way that left me wondering, but it had an ending so we will see. I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion. I really enjoyed it and I want to read more from this author!
