In the aftermath of a series of student riots in Seoul, the U.S. Congress rushes a bill into law calling for the complete withdrawal of American troops from South Korea. Though written a decade ago, the threat of war on the Korean Peninsula is as strong now as it was then. This work of fiction is a primer as to just how terrifying the next Korean War would be for all involved. Great understanding of all combat arms of the US Army.

I could not put this book down! It was absolutley amazing. It is the most suspenseful, rivoting, and action packed bokk that I have ever read. It was written very well and it moves ahead at a fast pace. I recommend this book very, very highly.

Bond takes you from the depths of the sea to the peaks of the mountains in Korea in the awesome techno-thriller. A very possible situaion in our present world. This book is a great way to see how a war would work now.

Red Phoenix by Larry Bond is an amazing techno-thriller filled with action and excitement. When North Korean forces pour across the DMZ into Southge Korea, the United States is caught in the middle of yet another war in southeast Asia. From the pilot's seat, to the grunt's foxhole, to the submarines periscope or the frigate's bridge, you'll feel like you're in the midst of combat.

This is a well written, exciting book! Even though it was written in 1989, it's as if it was written today with what is going on in North Korea.

Norcorea lanza una invasion en Corea del Sur. Los EU respaldan a los subcoreanos, al mismo tiempo que China y la URSS equipan a las fuerzas norcoreanas. EU envia a una flota naval para equilibar la deseperante situacion.

I cannot read this and review it because my nook Tablet is not working--therefore, I am not reviewing any others I may have read. This is outrageous--no suggestions work and I don't know when I might get to a B&N and hopefully get it Fixed!

Although this story is set thirty years in the past, the players, politics, and international tensions could be ripped from todays headlines. North Korea! South Korea! China! Russia! US! We are all still there. Very current!

I enjoyed reading this book, and would gladly read more like it. You get to see all sides of the build-up, execution, conclusion, and after-effects of an all-out land , sea, and air war in Korea. Interesting characters, although there are almost too many to keep track of! I was glad that it did not include any (phony) patriotic speeches and just stuck to the events and their effect on the various parties involved. Very Good!
