Overview

Prince Kail, a young warrior and sorcerer, and Yuri, a modern-day teen, were thrown together when Queen Nakia drew Yuri across time and space into the ancient Hittite Empire. But the evil queen's plan to murder them both—and their growing feelings for one another—keep getting in the way!

Yuri returns to Ugarit along with the news that Nefertiti, the queen dowager of Egypt, has fallen from power. Kail is relieved that the dire threat posed by the covert communications between Nefertiti and Nakia is now over, but feels certain this development will only fuel the war between the Hittite Empire and Egypt. What neither he nor anyone else on either side of the conflict realizes is how hot things are actually going to get!

OMG! this story is the most heartbreaking and touching story I've read in my entire life. I've read so many novels and yet i was surprised how much this graphic novel stole my heart. I swear, everytime i begin to think of this story, my eyes begin to tear. so many emotions overcame me. this will be the most unforgettable story in my entire life. I don't believe that any novel or other manga will able to capture my heart as much as this did. i've the entire series about 5 times already and i'm not even tired of it. now this is truly a story of true love, endurance, life, death, power, and the true meaning of sacrifice. The characters in this story seem so real with such powerful emotions that when you read this story, it seems as if your taking this journey with them. I HIGHLy recommend this. It is really hard for me to describe this story without you guys reading it. please don't judge this book because it is a graphic novel. just read it and you'll understand the greatness of this novel. I promise you won't regret it! Everything about it is perfect- the beautiful setting, the characters that will steal your heart, and the heartwrenching storyline.

The Red River series has so much depth in the story. Its one of those manga's you count down the days until the next volume is out. Yuri is finally reunited with Prince Kai after being captive in Egypt. Then the battle in with Egypt begins!

I enjoyed this story very much. Every chapter seemed to instill more and more thrill into my heart. While I am no history buff, and am thus unable to judge how credible this story is, I am quite a connoisseur of manga, and this is one you won't want to miss out on. The plot was engaging, the characters were memorable and touching, and I devoured this story all in one gulp [I literally did; I didn't leave my seat for a second! All I did was turn pages]. The only thing I can complain about was that there wasn't any MORE. I wanted to see what would happen later on for Kail and Yuri...But, I digress.

My all time fave series of all time!!! I have reread this series more times than i can count!! Its so realistic and emotional you practically feel your part of the story. You will fall in love with the characters and hate the antagonist. Also I will say its for mature audiences so those who dont like smutty, emotion, and drama dont read
