Children's LiteratureP.D. Eastman's 1961 classic, Go, Dog. Go —originally a "Beginner Book"—has been reincarnated as an interactive book in the "Bright and Early Playtime" line. Presumably it is still all in the family since Peter Anthony Eastman is credited with new illustrations. Although this edition has been spiffed up with flaps and wheels and pullout tabs, not to mention one modest pop-up, it is still the same simple story about color. Black dogs, white dogs, blue dogs, and green dogs frolic with pink dogs and purple dogs (through the help of a transparency sheet). Best of all, Eastman's signature little green bird also makes an appearance. The binding and pages are sturdy enough for another generation or two of toddlers to enjoy Eastman's exuberance. 2004, Random House, Ages 2 to 5.
