Yeah, honestly sometimes Jonathan Hickman makes my head hurt. This was one of those times. Time travel stories can be tricky and here its high concept low payoff. Characters aren't developed, the twist isn't setup at all, and then never explained. The art is not dynamic and doesn't make the future look evolved at all. Overall, an unfortunate entry into Hickman's library.
