I can't say enough about how good this book is. I told George I haven't read a western in a long time but I think that's about to change. This is the best western I have ever read. I think George McVey will be giving Louis Lamore a run for his money.
It has God, action, love, devotion, humor, friendships, and so much more. I felt like I was right there with everyone else. I felt part of the family feeling. I started it this morning and I'm ready to read another one. I just couldn't put it down. I hate it when good books like this have to end. Makes you just wish they would go on forever.
I didn't know there were any Christian Westerns. I'll be keeping a look out now for more. You can't go wrong with this book. Good job George, don't stop writing. You have a hit here. I would love to see this as a movie. They just don't make westerns like this any more.

This book is a fun read. Nathan is a man's man and a true western hero. I loved the action and the romance. If ever a cowboy deserves to get the girl and ride of into the sunset it is Nathan Ryder. The Preacher. A great read for any age.

    Nice western , easy read.

This was a very enjoyable book. It kept my interest and had some life lessons in it. It's nice to read a book without profanity in it, and has a good story line.

I loved reading this book, it was filled with frequent laughs and also a bit of tears. Nate is a young man who feels is called to be a preacher and so he sets out for a town called Redemption...but along the way there is much adventure and even love. Gun fights and good for nothin bad guys. It reminds me of the cowboy movies I used to watch as a child. The language fits the book and there is a good mix of characters. God's word is also preached because of course the main character is a Preacher that is also a very good gunslinger (a great fighter for justice). I found it wonderful how the author included a very touching scene about a woman with a past (I will not say more) but this part I loved. I look forward to the next book in the series.

    Best Christian Western!

This was the BEST Christian Western I have read! Thank you Mr. McVey, for staying true to the gospel message, and writing a truly entertaining story. I already bought the second book, and look forward to continuing Nathan and Grace's story. Write some more, sir!
