Overview

Book 6 in the Cyborg Seduction series.

Charlie's brother has put her in the no-win situation of having to rescue a cyborg from Earth Government. It's dangerous, she'll become an outlaw on Earth, but it's the only way to save her brother's life. The imprisoned cyborg is rude, conceited and probably the biggest jerk she's ever had the misfortune to meet. His only redeeming qualities are his handsome face and sexy, muscular body. Just wow! Still, she can't wait to be rid of him.

All cyborgs hate humans, but Zorus is consumed by it. Chained, enslaved and facing death on Earth once again, he vows revenge. To his utter astonishment, a human female comes to his rescue. She's rude, mouthy and bossy. And very brave. She baffles him almost as much as she arouses him. Zorus cannot deny that he's fascinated by her. They are about to lock wills and ignite a firestorm of desire that defies every rule he lives by.

The one cyborg I most disliked, Zorus, turned out to be a really likeable character! I can now relate to the moral of the story with today's world. I like that! Pretty good writing!

I initially skipped over this book because I disliked Zorus so much in the other books. I'm glad I went back and read it. It ended up being one of my favorites in the series. Learning more about the crappy things done to Zorus by humans helped to make his character more likeable.

So glad to see that Zorus has a heart! Great plot, serious action, smokin romance. Another cyborg winner. Luanne, please keep writing this series-it just keeps getting better and better!

I've read alot from this author, and love her work. I was reluctant to read her cyborg series though because i was afraid it wouldnt be as good as O'Connor's world. But i can honestly say that although it's not quite as wonderfully descriptive it is still great in its own way. The story line is compelling the whole way through as well as the romantic line. I look forward to more of this series, and hope they are of the same caliber.

This is a surprising story. And I really enjoy it. This is the first of Dohner's Cyborg Seduction series that I've read, and I now plan to start from the beginning. It can be read as a stand-alone novel, though it hints at things accomplished in previous books. As they escaped, I liked the continued distrust between Zorus and Charlie; it seemed (and seems) realistic to me. As does their journey to love. At first, I thought it too fast, but when I paused to consider it again, I decided that it seems perfectly timed. I love the equality between Charlie and Zorus. It isn't physical or financial or social, necessarily, but both made incredible sacrifices without apology for the sake of their bond. I think I'll definitely be re-reading this one.

If you are a fan of Lauran Dohner's Cyborg series, this is one you won't want to miss. Zorus has appeared in others in the series as the Cyborg who truly hates Humans and will go to any lengths to keep them away from the Cyborgs' adopted planet. Here, he has again been captured by human's housed in a cell meant to be escape-proof. To breakout, he must commandeer the services of a feisty female pilot, of course human. While the story might be familiar, the characters have been well defind and are truly beliveable. Probably one of the best in the series.
