    Simply Magnificent!

God was with Jacquelin Thomas as she wrote this book, it was a lovely story about unconditional love, which you find very rare these days. If you love a good story with a strong message, then you will love Redemption! The characters came alive in this book and I didn't want it to end but all good books must come to an end. This is the first Jacquelin Thomas novel I have read and I am now a huge fan! I plan to read The Ideal Wife, The Pastor's Wife, Jezebel and The Prodigal Husband next. I am very excited about reading these books. I trusted the reviews about Redemption, therefore I can't go wrong. Jacquelin Thomas trully has a gift from God.

    Good read

This book started off a bit slow, it is a very long book that takes you pretty much through the lives of the Characters. At times I wanted to get to the point but all in all it was a good read.

Highly Recommended*(you have to read this)

I could not put this book down. I finished in two days(it would of been less but I had other this to do:). This book was powerful. The story came alive off the pages. I could actually see what was going on in front of me. I hope this book becomes a movie, because I would love to see this on screen. All I can say is I hope Tyler Perry is paying attention. The most important thing I already knew, but was confirmed was have powerful the love of "God". To the writer I say "thank you" needed this.

    Excellent Book Club Reading

As a member of a book club, this book was chosen for our September 2008 meeting. This was an excellent book dealing with various situations that most women understand. This book left me wondering: redemption at what price? I would, however, highly recommend this book!

    Very Good Book

I have recently began reading her books. The first one I read was Jezebel. I loved it although I didn't want her to die. Then I read Defining Moments before I knew it was a sequal to a previous book. I like that too. Then I read Redemption I just fininshed that one on Saturday. I loved it till I got to the end. Is this a thing with your books. I mean I will continue to read her books but I don't want to expect every character to die after they turn their life over to God and start living right. Even though I know this happens alot in reality. But anyway I do love the books I did read my next one is Prodigal Husband.Keep up the good work. -----Dee R:)

    Awesome!

I could not put the book down from the first page. Warner showed the kind of love and forgiveness God shares with us on a daily basis. Although Marin gave in to her flesh, she sought the Lord in the end. This book is truly a work of Redemption.

    A Redeeming Tale

Another refreshing novel, to quench the soul. Jacquelin Thomas' novels always move me. It's amazing how much of an answer I find for myself within her novels. This was definitely a tear-jerker. I wept for Marin, I wept for Warner and their children throughout this novel. It truly was an uphill battle for Marin and she lost alot, but in the end I do believe she was redeemed. Throughout all the trials and tribulation she put Warner through, I believe she did love him and never meant to hurt him. I however, think she just didn't love herself enough to totally accept that despite her faults and short-comings Warner loved her unconditionally as did God. But in the end, I believe she finally came to learn to lean on God and hear His voice and heed His word. I think she finally realized that God loved her despite her sins, and I think she finally understood the true meaning of unconditional love, by the letter she wrote to her husband on his birthday. It was such a moving letter. She was willing to love him enough to let him go, because she knew that despite how much he loved her, he was still hurting and struggling with all the horrible things she had done. Warner was definitely a man of God, not many, if any would have stood by their wife or taken her back after all the evil things she had done to him. Despite all the humiliation and gossip he held to God's Word and would only listen to Him. And as you can see a few times he fell short and had to fall to his knees and pray and ask God's forgiveness for his weaknesses, it just went to show that even being a man of the cloth he was just a man, and sometimes fell short, too. This was just a deeply inspiring story.

An exceptionally well-put-together story about love and forgiveness. A teensy bit of lag in the middle, after the birth of Marin's two babies, but it didn't last too long. Marin was bored, and I felt her boredom, so I guess that was effective. Especially resonating with me was the ending. All the seeds has been carefully planted earlier in the story, and no loose ends were left hanging. It's rare that I see a book this well plotted. It was just wonderful. Characters you'll love, characters you'll dislike, and plenty of faith and hope. I recommend this title. The only detraction for me was that I found it a little distracting and unnatural that the characters very seldom said or asked anything. They queried, questioned, inquired or they whispered, admitted, interjected, yelled, intervened, announced, greeted, confirmed, and most of all, responded. Sometimes the best word is the simplest one. Said. Asked. Simple. Still, a very good read.

    interesting look at relationships

An unlikely couple is Hollywood superstar Marin Alexander and renowned televangelist Warner Brice although both are firm believers in God. Yet when they meet they fall in love. They marry, but being the preacher¿s wife devastates Marin¿s film career as parts she had before she said I do are no longer offered to her. --- Marin also misses her friends as she finds life away from Hollywood boring. Hoping to salvage her career, she returns to Southern California and her old friends. This puts her at odds with Warner¿s vocation and threatens his ministry. His advisors tell him to give up on his sinner of a spouse though not by divorce while her pals tell her to drop the religious albatross that hinders her Hollywood career. --- The Hollywood-preacher marriage makes for an interesting look at relationships as the lead couple shares love and strong beliefs in the Lord yet their marriage is in jeopardy as those powerful elements may prove insufficient. Though the Hollywood crowd seems hyperbolic hedonistic with drugs and sex especially when compared to Brice¿s pious followers, fans will enjoy the fall of an interesting person whose hope lies in REDEMPTION by returning to the Lord. --- Harriet Klausner
