About the Author

Born and Raised in Brooklyn, NY, Theresa “Resa” Sanders-Brinson was the 4th of her mother’s 7 children. Growing up in some of the roughest parts of Brooklyn has allowed her to see some of the unfortunate situations life had to offer poor black kids.
After her father died in 2001 and almost losing her mother to a serious condition, she was determined to turn her life around and not become a product of her environment. She first developed her love for writing when she was writing and selling poems to her friends in JHS.
After attending some of NYs finest schools such as Fashion Industries HS and Graphics Communication Arts HS, she finally graduated and attended Sanford Brown Institute of NY; where she studied to become a Medical Assistant. She currently resides in Wilkes Barre, PA where she’s studying for her Bachelorette in Psychology. Her future plans include obtaining her PhD.
