enjoyed it greatly
This book is completely awful. The plot is a boring, dead weight and i feel as if i am dragging myself along through it's scumbaggery and skullduggery trudging through the ridiculously dry, arrogant and mostly completely non-existant humor, and the story's lack of any real thrill, importance, interest, etc. I really am not sure if there even is humor, i can't really tell. Seriously, you don't have anything better to read? Do you know that there is life beyond this terrible old man and his terrible, drawn-out books? How many years do you have left? If I'm thinking right it's probably four or five non-feeble one's if I'm not too late. Unsurprisingly you probably are feeble...but I'm glad that you can use that crazy magical new-fangled thing called 'the interweb'..righteous, isn't it?! But really, what could possibly be more boring than a book about horse racing? Why don't you write a comprehensive murder mystery that entirely revolves around car racing? Just instead of cocky brits on horses drinking earl grey it can have ignorant rednecks in pick-ups listening to toby keith. Granted I'm only on the 8th chapter, but seriously...why would you make someone who's a senior in high school read this novel? I'm a senior in high school, not an actual senior...they're the one's with all the sick discounts. I seriously sit there and wonder if there's anything better I can be doing because I'm not gaining anything from this. Give me something engaging! Jesus Christ Hamlet was more interesting. Maybe George Millace deserved to die. Because this book sucks and Dick Francis knows how terrible this book is so he took it out on his character. But he can get away with it becuase there are several thousand nursing homes in need of teething/reading fodder. If one of you old people live's long enough and is attentive enough to finish this book contact me and tell me how it goes. I'm kind of tired of this.
i have not read this book yet but 4 starters i like it
Author is DICK FRANCIS not Katy Gardner. But it is a great book. one of his best.
