Reforming Marriage does what few books on marriage do today: it provides biblical advice. Douglas Wilson points to the need for obedient hearts on the part of both husbands and wives. Godly marriages proceed from obedient hearts, and the greatest desire of an obedient heart is the glory of God.

"You'll never be able to think of marriage in the same way again."

Until now I haven't left feedback for any book, however I was compelled to after reading this one. This is the best explanation of a biblical marriage that I have ever read. There is no longer a need for the many other books on marriage that are on my bookshelf. Two words express what this book is - GOD HONORING. This author is clearly in tune with the plight of many Christian homes. This book helped me to see the devastating effect of selfishness in the marriage relationship. I am guilty on all counts! I am now motivated more than ever to bring glory to God through my marriage - you will be too!

I will give this book to every husband (and potential husband) I know. It is God's design for the family and the husband's biblical role within it.

When I was first married I was told that I was supposed to become the spiritual leader to my family. I beg your pardon? I didn't have a clue what that even meant let alone how I was to do it. Wilson takes out all of the fluff and gets to the meat and potato of family leadership. I would encourage this book for newlyweds or couples celebrating many years in marriage.
