Now Rachel, too, is falling in love with the glorious valley…as well as with Dirk Tanner, a rugged rancher who makes it his home. Rachel isn’t the only San Franciscan newly drawn to the Elk Horn Valley. Jake Rierdon, son of a San Francisco client, has taken a shine to ranch life too--and to beautiful young Emily Walker. Medicine cat's den

Is a huge boulder partially buried in the earth. It has oe entrance: A hole in the side. It is hollow, and on the inside are large, inward pointing, multi-colored crystals. There is a medium sized hole in the roof. At sunhigh, the sunlight shines through this hole and makes the crystals shine and sparkle. At moonhigh, the moonlight will light them up, depending on the phase of the moon; a full moon will make them shine brightly, while a new moon will not make them shine at all. You can look through the hole in the roof at moonhigh and see the current phase of the moon. Both the medicine cat and their apprentice sleep here.
