What People are Saying About This

From the Publisher

"I believe Rehabilitation Caseload Management is one of the premier texts in our field. The long term success of any Rehabilitation Counselor hinges on the ability to manage a demanding and complex set of professional roles and functions. Every chapter resonates with the voice of real world experience and practical recommendations. For years this thought provoking book has formed the basis of my instruction in caseload management."

-Alan Davis, PhD

College of Education & Counseling

South Dakota State University

"Rehabilitation Caseload Management will assist students to understand that successful outcomes for individuals with disabilities are built upon the combination of both counseling and case management techniques. The originality and contribution of this book lie in its presentation of theory, principles, models, and rationale of case management provided in the first half of the book and the detailed analysis of practical application presented in the second half. Rehabilitation Caseload Management will become an important resource in the Rehabilitation Counseling curriculum."

-Julie Smart, PhD, CRC, NCC, LPC, ABDA, CCFC

Professor and Director, Rehabilitation Counselor Education Program

Department of Special Education & Rehabilitation

Utah State University

"I have seen a great need for a concentrated, structured and up-to-date caseload management practices resource for my students to use to learn how to manage the cases of the diverse individuals they serve in the field of vocational rehabilitation in clinical courses and upon graduation...I am excited to know there will be a resource that addresses such key elements of effective caseload management as counselor competencies and roles, management and decision-making skills, and state VR agency function in a practical and easy to use/adapt model. I know my instructors will be as pleased as I am to have this available to use for our Caseload Management class each year."

-Amy L. Skinner, CRC, LPC

NCC Coordinator, Rehabilitation Counseling MS Degree Program

University of Tennessee

"This book is a key source of information that provides rehabilitation professionals with effective application of techniques and tools which fills a void in rehabilitation education. It brings together historical trial and error attempts to deal with the day to day difficulties faced by many rehabilitation counselors and illuminates the need for management skills. I strongly recommend its use in rehabilitation Counselor Education Programs."

-Dr. William Fennessee, PhD, CRC
