Meet the Author

Nina L. Paul, PhD, has worked in the field of science and health communication for over 20 years. She started down this path at SUNY Purchase, where she received her bachelor’s degree in biology and performed research in the field of neuroimmunology. She also published articles for her college newspaper on scientific research topics.
After working in medical publishing at Rockefeller University Press (Journal of Clinical Investigation), she received her master’s degree and PhD in infectious disease epidemiology (the study of diseases) and immunology from Yale University.
After leaving Yale, Nina pursued postdoctoral research in London and Oxford, England. Nina’s research focused on human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and related viruses and their interaction with the immune system. Nina also taught science to schoolchildren of different ages and abilities in New Mexico and volunteered at a hospital-based Cancer Information Centre in England. She worked in the field of evidence-based medicine and contributed to the Cochrane Library (a medical database). She is also the author of Living with Hepatitis C For Dummies.
Nina believes in a multifaceted approach to health. She became a master of Reiki, which is a universal life-force energy that is transmitted through the hands.     Reiki for Dummies is a great referance tool!

    As a 7 year Reiki Practitioner and Reiki Master-Teacher I found this book to be perfect for students that needed less to read through. They were able to remember the information more quickly as it was an easier read then other Reiki manuals. I now use Reiki for Dummies as well as the traditional Reiki manuals for the Reiki classes I teach.

    Terrifc source of Reiki ,

    This book is fabulous and a terrific resource for Reiki classes and for those interested in learning Reiki. It is clearly written and easy to understand. It is filled with information...I recommmend it without reservation...

    The Reiki Sourcebook, Revised and Expanded

    As one who has been very intrigued by Reiki for quite some time,

    As one who has been very intrigued by Reiki for quite some time, I have read many books on this subject. Throughout all of my research I have found 2 books to be above the rest. Reiki for Dummies is Number One in my opinion. This is THE BEST most thorough book I have found on the subject and though I have yet to begin my reiki journey, this book has aided me in learning the facts and the benefits of this practice. The second book that I would reccomend is the Reiki source book. Link in the recommendations!

    Very easy to use

    This book is the best to beable to find quick answers and to help you through your reiki classes and a great reference afterwards

    The book answers many questions on What is Reiki and how does it work and how is it used.

    One who is curious about this typy of healing will enjoy all that is written.
