Jessica Simpson, America's favorite ditzy blonde, celebrates this holiday season with her first Christmas album. Dedicated to her grandmother Joyce, this Yuletide collection features Jessica's interpretations of her favorite seasonal songs, as well as duets with her hunky husband, Nick Lachey, and her baby sis, Ashlee.

Jessica Simpson has always seemed more comfortable in glitzy, show-biz surroundings, so it's not a surprise that her 2004 holiday release, Rejoyce: The Christmas Album, never approaches the old-fashioned manners implied in the title and instead wallows in the big, brassy, over-the-top spectacle of show biz. Rejoyce is a Christmas album that sounds like it was recorded at a Las Vegas revue. It's filled with showstoppers and grandstanding, relying on the tried-and-true seasonal classics while offering a couple of new songs almost as an afterthought. It's bright and incessantly cheerful, always seeming loud even during its quietest moments because the music itself is bold and brassy. While she sounds a little too breathy on occasion, Simpson acquits herself well on the record, and the entire enterprise will surely please her fans, particularly those who like her persona just a little bit better than her singing.

    Fabulous!

This is a great christmas CD! I love it! I am learning a dance in dance class with one of the songs on the soundtrack! It is very catchy and I love it! I always find myself singing the songs!

Rejoyce is the Best Christmas Cd I have ever heard!

This is one of the best Christmas Cd's I have ever heard! Jessica is upbeat yet suprisingly keeps to the traditional sounds of Christmas music that we have all come to love and enjoy during the holidays. The Little Drummer Boy has solid drums in the background as you would expect in that song that makes the hair stand on end its so awesome. Song Number 3 "Baby, Its Cold Outside" is the best song on the Cd with a Deut with her Husband Nick, just an overall FANTASTIC Cd, I highly recommend this Cd and will enjoy this for all Holidays to come. Thanks Jessica, Awesome Job!!!

    Long Awaited Album

Jessica Simpson has not kept her faith in God quiet. This album should have been made long ago. Her voice was made for Christmas music.

    Absolutely Heavenly

This Texas native sure can sing. I especially enjoyed her duet with Nick Lachey in "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and "Little Drummer Boy" with sister Ashlee Simspon. This girl was meant to sing the heavenly sounds of christmas music and she pulls it off very well with her breathy and very strong voice. It's a Christmas classic for your CD player, even in July.

a happy christmas-- finally some joy

Simpson can sing, no doubt. Refreshing to have a Christmas album that is happy and charming and doesn't take itself too seriously. A great addition to a Christmas collection. "Breath of Heaven" is sung beautifully. I think she's an angel.
